Categorizing Units for Ritual Sequencing

Managing the nine-tile grid requires dividing your card queue into two distinct operational roles: fuel cards and trigger cards.

• Fuel Cards: Low-tier or redundant units designated to occupy temporary proximity positions, generate passive bonuses, or serve as sacrifice material.
• Trigger Cards: High-tier active cards that execute powerful damage or utility rituals based on the state of surrounding tiles when resolved.

Queue fuel cards early in your turn to establish sacrificial targets across target tiles. Reserve trigger cards for the end of the queue so that ritual abilities resolve only after your sacrificial base is fully established. Placing trigger cards prematurely causes abilities to fizzle due to a lack of target tiles or valid sacrifice units.

Key Indicators for Unit Sacrifice

Sacrifice units when specific grid conditions occur rather than burning board presence arbitrarily. Initiate sacrifices when any of the following triggers occur:
