Set Electric Terrain before bringing in Espathra so its Electric Seed can activate. Then use Opportunist to benefit when an opponent raises its stats, while watching for terrain changes or moves that force Espathra off the field.
How the setup works
The draft’s strategy combines two effects: Electric Seed gives Espathra a Defense boost when it activates under Electric Terrain, and Opportunist copies an opponent’s stat boosts. This gives Espathra a potential opening to accumulate boosts without spending turns raising every stat itself.
The plan depends on having Electric Terrain active when Espathra enters. Bring in your terrain setter first, then switch to Espathra. If the opponent replaces the terrain before the Seed activates, the setup may not work as intended.
Suggested moves and limits
The draft lists Lumina Crash, Stored Power, Protect, and either Roost or Substitute. It doesn’t establish a single required moveset, so treat Roost and Substitute as alternatives rather than trying to fit both alongside the other three moves.
Terrain changes can prevent the Seed from activating, and Roar or Whirlwind can force Espathra out and end its current setup. Keep those risks in mind before committing to a sweep. The supplied material does not establish that this build is currently dominant or that Electric Seed is better than other item choices.
