You can cook a Level 100 Mewtwo in Pokémon Quest by brewing the Ambrosia of Legends à la Cube recipe in a Gold Cooking Pot. The Gold Pot recruits Pokémon within a random range between Level 70 and Level 100. Landing a Level 100 roll instantly unlocks all nine Power Stone slots and includes a permanent +300 flat bonus to both base HP and base Attack.
However, summoning a recruit that is already at max level makes Move Learning significantly harder, meaning you must prepare higher-value training fodder to customize its moveset.
How Pot Tiers Affect Mewtwo's Level and Stats
Cooking pot tiers dictate both the level range of summoned Pokémon and a hidden, permanent flat bonus added to their base stats.
| Cooking Pot Tier | Recruited Level Range | Flat Base Stat Bonus (HP & ATK) | Ingredients per Slot | Total Ingredients |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic Pot | Levels 1–15 | +0 HP / +0 ATK | 2 | 10 |
| Bronze Pot | Levels 15–40 | +50 HP / +50 ATK | 6 | 30 |
| Silver Pot | Levels 40–70 | +150 HP / +150 ATK | 10 | 50 |
| Gold Pot | Levels 70–100 | +300 HP / +300 ATK | 20 | 100 |
A Mewtwo recruited through a Basic Pot and manually trained to Level 100 will always have 300 less HP and 300 less Attack than a Mewtwo summoned directly from a Gold Pot. Because this stat gap cannot be closed through leveling, endgame builds intended for Happenstance Island stages depend on Gold Pot summons.
Why a Level 100 Summon Is Safe for Legendary Pokémon
In Pokémon Quest, common species summoned at Level 100 from a Gold Pot become permanently locked into their base forms. Evolution requires gaining a level, which an unevolved Level 100 Pokémon cannot do even if the Everstone setting is turned off.
Mewtwo and the legendary birds (Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres) have no further evolutions. A Level 100 Mewtwo avoids this lockout entirely and immediately provides access to all nine Power Stone sockets on its grid, allowing you to equip a full set of Attack and HP Power Stones right away.
Managing the Move Learning Penalty at Level 100
While Level 100 grants immediate access to your stone grid, it creates an obstacle during Move Learning. The success rate for rerolling a move scales with the level difference between the trainee and the fodder Pokémon. Because a Level 100 trainee sits at the level cap, low-level recruits from Basic Pots drop success chances to single digits or zero.
To teach a Level 100 Mewtwo top moves such as Psychic or Bulk Up, use high-value training fodder:
- Matching Psychic Types: Fodder such as Drowzee, Hypno, or Kadabra summoned from Silver or Gold Pots provides a substantial percentage boost due to matching type.
- Fully Evolved Recruits: Evolved Pokémon grant higher success multipliers than unevolved basic forms.
- Duplicate Legendaries: Sacrificing surplus legendary birds or duplicate Mewtwo rolls provides the highest success percentages when working through repeated rerolls.
Gold Pot Ambrosia of Legends Requirements
Cooking Ambrosia of Legends in a Gold Pot requires a heavy upfront investment in rare materials:
- Mystic Shells: 20 shells (1 per slot multiplied by 20 for the Gold Pot).
- Precious Ingredients or Rainbow Matter: 80 total items across the remaining four recipe slots.
- Expedition Turns: 6 completed expeditions per cook, which can be bypassed using PM Tickets.
Because Mystic Shells only drop from boss encounters in Happenstance Island (Stages 12-1 through 12-9), farm a steady reserve of shells from Stage 12 expeditions before investing materials into Gold Pot cooking sessions.

Nice guide. I am checking the other Pokémon Quest articles next.
The tips are practical and easy to follow.
Can you add more details about base building in a future update?
This saved me time in the early game.
