How the Stacking Mechanic Works

The Pumpkin Shell acts as a dedicated sacrificial outer barrier. When positioned on an occupied tile, it operates with its own distinct durability meter:

• Non-destructive placement: You do not need to shovel or remove an offensive unit to add protection. The inner plant continues attacking normally while shelled.
• Independent health pool: Incoming damage from standard attacks, fast chargers, or backline-targeting enemies hits the Pumpkin Shell first.
• Unit survival: When the outer shell breaks, the plant inside remains on the board unharmed, provided it took no damage before the shell was placed.
