To unlock Bloom Festival pictures in Postknight 2, you must raise your bond level with eligible characters, purchase seasonal items with festival tokens, and finish each character's date event in Pompon before the festival concludes. Completed outings permanently add full-screen illustrations to your Journal under the Memories tab.
Outing Requirements
Festival outings do not become available automatically when the event begins. You must satisfy four primary conditions to trigger each character's scene:
- Companion Bond Level: Unlock the character in their home town (such as Pompon, Kurestal, or Caldemount) and raise their relationship to at least three to four hearts. Characters with unprogressed story arcs or zero affinity will not accept invitations.
- Festival Dialogue Checks: Talk to the companion at the festival grounds in Pompon. You must exhaust their introductory conversation prompts before the date invitation option appears.
- Event Token Purchases: Acquire character-specific Bloom Festival gifts or invitation items from the seasonal vendor using event tokens gathered on event patrol routes.
- Daily Event Limits: The game restricts how many festival scenes you can activate in a single day. Schedule invitations across multiple days during the festival window to avoid running out of time.
Character Outing Requirements
Each character features a distinct outing scenario and requires specific progression milestones:
| Character | Outing Theme | Primary Unlock Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Flint | Walking the festival and sharing food | High bond affinity; exhaust Pompon festival dialogue |
| Morgan | An evening stroll away from festival crowds | Unlocked Caldemount bond; trade festival blossom tokens |
| Pearl | Browsing market stalls and novelty crafts | Active bond tier; gift a Bloom bouquet |
| Raz | Carnival game stalls and banter | Mid-tier bond status; participate in event minigames |
| Senna | Scenic nature viewing outside the square | Established affection; finish seasonal scout request |
| Amethyst | Flower appreciation and conversation | High bond tier; buy the exclusive invitation token |
Spending Tokens and Managing Affection
Because daily patrol tickets and energy are limited, prioritize seasonal gifts over vanity equipment:
- Farm event patrols daily: Clear temporary festival delivery routes each day to collect event tokens and crafting ingredients.
- Buy character items first: Spend your tokens at the seasonal vendor on character-specific bouquets and date invitations before purchasing cosmetic gear or general item chests.
- Gift preferred items: Hand over seasonal Bloom items at the festival grounds to benefit from seasonal heart multipliers, which fill the remaining affection needed for an invite faster than regular gifts.
- Trigger scenes immediately: Once an invitation prompt appears in a character's dialogue menu, activate the outing immediately so the cutscene and artwork save to your account.
Viewing Saved Pictures in the Journal
Once unlocked, Bloom Festival illustrations can be viewed at any time without repeating their quests:
- Open the main menu.
- Tap the Journal icon.
- Select the Memories tab and open the seasonal event sub-folder.
Selecting an unlocked illustration displays the full, uncropped artwork alongside its commemorative text. If an entry displays as a darkened silhouette, that picture was missed during the festival. Because Postknight 2 runs seasonal events on an annual schedule, missed pictures remain locked until the Bloom Festival returns in a future update. Maintaining companion bond levels throughout the year ensures you can trigger remaining outings immediately when the event returns.

This helped me understand updates much better.
Good guide for Postknight 2 players. The updates part was useful.
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
