Punishing: Gray Raven Matrix Combat: Dodge and Use the Slowdown

In Punishing: Gray Raven, dodge an attack just before it hits to trigger Matrix. Use the slowdown to reposition or launch a three-ping skill sequence, and manage your dodge energy so you are not left exposed.

How to use Matrix

1. Watch the enemy’s attack and dodge at the moment it is about to connect.
2. During Matrix, reposition or use your character’s three-ping skill sequence to deal burst damage.
3. Keep track of your dodge energy. If you run out of dodges, you lose access to this response and are more vulnerable.

Learning an enemy’s attack patterns can help you time the dodge. Treat Matrix as both a defensive opening and a chance to attack, rather than spending dodges without regard to the next incoming move.
