To beat Royal Kingdom Level 244 without spending boosters or coins, prioritize matches at the bottom of the board to break central obstacles and trigger tile cascades. Level 244 carries a Hard difficulty rating because its starting layout restricts piece movement with tightly clustered barriers. Clearing space early gives you the room needed to form multi-tile power-up combinations that reach isolated targets before your move count runs out.
Plan Your Turns by Phase
Navigating the limited move limit requires shifting your focus as the board opens up. Divide your run into three distinct operational phases:
| Phase | Move Range | Primary Objective |
|---|---|---|
| Early | Moves 1–7 | Clear lower-center blockers to widen narrow columns. |
| Mid | Moves 8–18 | Create and pair power-ups to clear clustered obstacles. |
| Late | Final Turns | Detonate targeted specials to collect remaining corner and edge objectives. |
Target Low Matches to Create Cascades
Always look for matches in the bottom half of the board before making moves near the top. Moving tiles near the base shifts entire columns above, resetting the upper layout and triggering gravity-fed cascade matches. These falling matches often hit adjacent obstacles automatically without expending extra turns.
Top-row three-tile matches are often distractions that clear harmless pieces without damaging barriers. Only take upper-board matches if they directly create a power-up or if the bottom board offers no valid moves against blockers. If no low matches touch an obstacle directly, clear pieces in the specific vertical columns above the thickest barriers to drop fresh tiles into contact with them.
Assemble High-Impact Power-Up Combinations
Single power-ups chip away at individual barriers, but they rarely generate enough board-clearing power on their own to beat a Hard level. Save your moves by assembling specials side by side and activating them together:
- Rocket + Bomb: Clears three full horizontal rows and three full vertical columns simultaneously. This is the most reliable combination for punching through dense barriers and reaching edge goals.
- Light Ball (Magic Sphere) + Rocket: Converts every standard tile of the matching color into a directional Rocket, firing a screen-wide volley that eliminates scattered objectives.
- Bomb + Bomb: Expands the standard explosive radius, reaching deep into obstructed pockets and clearing multi-hit barriers.
Avoid detonating single Rockets horizontally if their line of fire hits only open space or board borders. Match tiles underneath an unaligned Rocket to drop it downward until its path intersects an obstacle or another special tile.
Clear Isolated Corners Before the End Game
Corner and edge tiles receive fewer falling pieces and provide fewer match angles than center columns. Leaving corner objectives untouched until your final turns frequently causes failed attempts, as manual three-tile matches are difficult to form in tight corners.
Track edge objectives throughout the mid-game. When you assemble horizontal Rockets, maneuver them into rows that align directly with corner targets. Using row-clearing blasts across the bottom edges fulfills stubborn goal requirements while clearing the board's foundation to keep tiles flowing.

I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
Nice guide. I am checking the other Royal Kingdom articles next.
The explanation is clear, especially for beginners.
This saved me time in the early game.
