Soul Knight Assassin Doppelgänger Skill Guide

The Assassin's second skill, Doppelgänger, creates autonomous duplicates of your character that copy whatever weapon you are currently holding. Fully upgraded, the skill allows you to maintain two active clones at once. Because these clones fire without consuming your hero's energy, unlocking and ranking up Doppelgänger shifts the Assassin into a safe summoner capable of automating massive sustained burst damage against dungeon bosses.

To get the most out of the skill, equip your heaviest high-damage weapon right before casting, summon your clones, and then switch your active hero to a defensive weapon to survive behind them.

Core Duplicate Mechanics

Doppelgänger snapshots your active gear at the exact moment of activation:

Weapon Snapshotting: The clone spawns wielding an identical copy of the weapon in your hands when you press the skill button. Clones cannot swap weapons; they keep that snapshot until they die or expire.
Zero Energy Depletion: Clones possess infinite energy. They fire energy-hungry guns continuously without draining your personal energy pool.
Independent Survivability: Clones use their own health pools based on your character level and lobby upgrades. They do not share damage with your hero, but they lack invulnerability frames and can be eliminated quickly by high-density bullet patterns, floor hazards, or piercing lasers.
Target Aggro: Clones seek out targets in their line of sight, drawing projectile fire away from your hero.

Equipping low-cost starter weapons wastes the duplicate's infinite energy perk. Prioritize heavy, high-consumption weapons that would otherwise starve your hero of energy.

Combat Room Execution

To clear rooms efficiently while protecting your health pool, follow this sequence:

Pre-Summon Outside the Door: Before entering an uncleared room, equip your high-damage weapon and activate Doppelgänger to summon your clones in safety.
Switch to Defense: Swap your hero to a melee weapon or defensive tool before stepping through the doorway to seal the room. This lets your skill cooldown recover while you prepare to clear bullets.
Establish a Triangle Formation: In boss fights, position your hero along the outer perimeter while keeping the boss between your two duplicates. This splits the boss's targeting tracking, giving your duplicates uninterrupted firing windows while you destroy stray bullets from a distance.
