To clear Mech Mode (Robotic Frenzy) in Soul Knight, equip weapons into all empty mounts as early as possible, circle the map continuously to collect fuel pods, and concentrate chip upgrades into damage and attack speed before fighting the Warden.
Chassis and Pilot Selection
Your run begins by picking a pilot hero and a mech chassis. The pilot contributes innate passive traits, while the chassis dictates baseline movement speed, maximum fuel capacity, armor plating, and active tactical abilities.
- Bulky chassis models: Offer heavier native shielding and damage dampening. These frames are forgiving if you get trapped in tight corridors or dense swarms, but their lower base speed makes manual evasion more difficult.
- Mobile chassis models: Offer high movement speed to retrieve distant supply drops before fuel drops to critical levels. However, low health pools make them vulnerable to rapid damage spikes from elite swarms.
Match your selection to your playstyle: select high-armor frames if you struggle with damage spikes, or high-mobility frames to secure fuel crates quickly.
Weapon Slot Priorities and Loadout Balance
Mech Mode automates your weapon fire, allowing you to focus on movement and hazard avoidance. Your top priority in early waves is filling every available weapon slot rather than stockpiling materials to upgrade a single weapon. Even low-tier white and green weapons significantly increase your baseline damage output against large mob swarms.
Aim for a balance of sustained single-target fire, linear piercing, and defensive utility across your hardpoints:
| Weapon Archetype | Combat Role | Primary Target | Recommended Hardpoint Placement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gatling / Machine Guns | Rapid single-target DPS | Elite units and mini-bosses | Front mounts |
| Laser Beams / Railguns | Linear piercing damage | Clustered enemy columns | Side mounts |
| Missile Launchers | Burst area damage and stagger | Mobile flankers along edges | Rear or upper mounts |
| Melee Blades / Saws | Bullet destruction and close defense | Charging melee enemies | Front defensive mounts |
Avoid equipping only slow-firing or high-energy weapons. Staggered firing rates ensure you do not experience long cooldown gaps that allow swarms to close in.
Fuel Management and Wave Routing
The fuel gauge functions as both your operational timer and a life-support meter. Fuel drains continuously during operation, and taking heavy enemy damage burns additional fuel. Depleting the gauge entirely puts the mech into a shutdown state, immobilizing your frame and leaving you defenseless.
Use these routing habits to keep fuel reserves stable:
- Move in wide perimeters: Kite enemies in circular loops around the outer edges of the map rather than lingering in the center or chasing individual enemies.
- Prioritize supply drops over kills: Supply pods and fuel canisters spawn periodically and appear on the minimap. Clear a direct path to these nodes with piercing weapons and collect them immediately.
- Disengage at low reserves: If your fuel gauge drops below one-third capacity, stop fighting elite packs. Use your tactical mobility skill to dash straight toward the nearest fuel indicator.
Chip Upgrade Progression
Chips drop from elite kills, supply airdrops, and wave milestones. Because spreading upgrades evenly weakens your end-game scaling, invest your upgrade parts into two or three complementary stats.
- First priority (Offense): General damage multipliers, attack speed, and additional projectile count. Faster attack cycles trigger weapon effects more frequently and clear dense swarms before they reach you.
- Second priority (Defense and Efficiency): Armor reinforcement, direct damage reduction, and fuel consumption mitigation. Invest in these once your damage output comfortably handles normal waves.
- Low priority (Situational Utility): Pure mobility or niche utility chips. Only invest in movement chips if your selected chassis lacks the base speed needed to dodge telegraphed elite attacks.
How to Defeat the Warden
The final boss encounter against the Warden tests your build's sustained damage and your positioning. The Warden attacks with sweeping beam arrays, targeted ground missile barrages, and dense bullet curtains.
- Avoid the frontal cone: Never position your mech directly in front of the Warden. Maintain a flanking position or stay along the boss's outer turning radius.
- Dodge the sweeping beam: When the Warden charges its beam attack, do not attempt to outrun it in the direction of the sweep. Use your mech's tactical dash to dodge counter to the beam's rotation, phasing through it to reach safe ground.
- Bait missile strikes: Keep moving along the arena perimeter during missile barrages so the ground markers fall behind your active movement path.
- Maintain continuous damage: Let automated weapons fire steadily while you concentrate on dodging. After the Warden finishes a sweeping laser attack, close the distance briefly to land burst damage from melee saws or missiles, then retreat before the next bullet spread begins.

This helped me understand strategy much better.
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
The explanation is clear, especially for beginners.
Good guide for Soul Knight players. The strategy part was useful.
