Once your Headquarters reaches level 30 and your state enters the Plasma generation stage, you can unlock Headquarters Plasma Star 1 without spending money by collecting free Plasma Cores through daily Radar Intel, daily activity chests, the Alliance Store, and event milestone rewards.
Reaching Plasma Star 1 increases your settlement's defensive stats, raises rally and march capacities, and unlocks the path to Plasma-tier troops. Because each star level requires completing five sub-stage nodes that consume fixed batches of Plasma Cores alongside standard resources, you must direct all core acquisition toward the Headquarters before spending any cores on military buildings.
Daily Plasma Core Routine: Radar Intel and Activity Chests
Daily activities provide your most consistent baseline supply of Plasma Cores.
- Clear Radar Intel on cooldown: Prevent your radar queue from capping out by logging in throughout the day. When your state reaches the Plasma phase and your base is level 30, high-tier infected bounties, tracker targets, and rescue missions add Plasma Cores to their potential rewards.
- Focus Chief Stamina on Intel: Save your chief stamina specifically for radar missions offering Plasma Core rewards rather than spending it on random map wanderers or low-yield resource gathering.
- Reach the 500-point Daily Activity chest: Fulfill daily quests such as troop training, technology donations, resource gathering, and exploration trials. The final 500-point milestone chest contains guaranteed Plasma Cores.
Alliance Honor and Store Exchanges
The Alliance Store lets active members convert participation directly into Plasma Cores.
- Earn Alliance Honor: Accumulate honor by assisting allies with construction timers, donating to Alliance Tech, constructing banners, and defending alliance structures.
- Prioritize Plasma Cores exclusively: Avoid spending Alliance Honor on standard speedups, peace flares, or teleporters. Use the currency strictly to buy Plasma Cores whenever they are in stock.
- Request inventory restocks: If the Alliance Store runs out of cores, ask your Alliance Leader or R4 officers to restock them using Alliance Funds generated from collective alliance activity and trap events.
Harvesting Event Milestone Crates
Competitive events offer substantial Plasma Core payouts at personal milestone thresholds. You do not need to compete for top leaderboard rankings; instead, save your resources to hit specific point chests.
| Event | Focus Activity | Milestone Strategy |
|---|---|---|
| Survival of the Fittest | Stage-specific tasks (Troops, Hero, Tech) | Hoard Biocaps and speedups between cycles. Spend only enough to reach the final personal milestone chest. |
| State Warfare (SvS) Prep | Daily themed state tasks | Align research and construction with active daily stage requirements to clear tiered core thresholds. |
| Reservoir Raid | Water purification battle | Capture water towers and engage in battlefield objectives to score match points for Plasma mail rewards. |
| Infected Horde | Settlement wave defense | Send reinforcements to active alliance members' settlements to maximize defense points for milestone crates. |
To maximize event gains, never use construction speedups or start major building projects outside of active scoring windows.
Headquarters Upgrade Sequence
Each Plasma star level consists of five separate sub-nodes. Complete all five sub-nodes on your Headquarters to secure the full 1-Star upgrade before investing any Plasma Cores into your Barracks, Range, or Garage. Upgrading military camps before the Headquarters finishes delays your overall progression and stalls settlement-wide defensive buffs and capacity increases. Commit all collected cores to the Headquarters first, and activate construction speedups during matching construction events to claim bonus event crates along the way.
