To win Reservoir Raid in State of Survival, prioritize offensive map control over passive water gathering. Alliances secure victory by using coordinated rallies to burn enemy settlements—forcing opponents into involuntary random teleports away from key objectives—while timing captures on the Central Reservoir and Water Treatment Centers.
Establishing Early Map Dominance
Passive gathering at secondary nodes like Water Tanks will not overcome an opponent holding major structures. In the opening minutes, your alliance's strongest combatants must teleport near the center line to anchor positions around the Central Reservoir and Water Treatment Centers.
Establishing front-line positions creates a protective perimeter for your gatherers and restricts enemy movement. Scout enemy settlement clusters immediately upon arrival to locate unreinforced targets before opposing players establish their defenses.
| Objective Type | Key Targets | Strategic Role |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Scoring | Central Reservoir, Water Treatment Centers | Generates the highest continuous point income. |
| Combat Buffs | Munitions Factories | Grants alliance-wide combat stat bonuses and march speed. |
| Disruption | Clustered Enemy Settlements | Eliminates enemy rally hosts through forced relocations. |
| Secondary Scoring | Water Tanks, Purified Water Nodes | Provides auxiliary points during combat downtime. |
Burning Settlements to Force Relocations
Settlement burning removes opposing rally leads and defensive anchors from contested zones. When an enemy settlement loses wall durability from repeated defeats, it triggers an involuntary random relocation across the map. This forces the opponent onto a relocation cooldown and clears their marches from nearby objectives.
To burn settlements efficiently:
- Launch a high-capacity rally: Have your strongest lead initiate an alliance rally to clear the primary garrison and any stacked reinforcements. Solo hits against fortified bases risk unnecessary troop losses.
- Follow with rapid solo marches: Time secondary solo attacks to land immediately behind the rally to wipe out remaining defenses before the opponent can reinforce.
- Maintain continuous march pressure: Keep attacks cycling on burning settlements until the durability bar reaches zero. Leaving a burning settlement unpressured gives the player time to extinguish flames and heal their garrison.
Capturing and Holding Water Structures
High-value water buildings open in phases, starting with Water Treatment Centers and followed by the Central Reservoir. Because holding these buildings provides the bulk of battle points, capturing them requires coordinated troop deployments.
- Claim the first-touch bonus: Send fast single-troop or light Rider marches the instant a building unlocks to claim the initial occupation score.
- Reinforce immediately: Reinforce the initial occupant with full defense marches from high-stat players before enemy strikes connect.
- Balance garrison formations: Maintain a sturdy frontline of Infantry to absorb damage, supported by Hunters and Riders to clear incoming attackers.
- Rally contested buildings: Never throw solo attacks against an enemy-held structure. Form an alliance rally to break the garrison.
- Execute tactical resets: If an incoming enemy rally is too strong to defend, withdraw your troops just before it hits. Allow the enemy to occupy the structure, then immediately launch a counter-rally while their garrison is disorganized.
Organizing Alliance Combat Roles
Alliances should divide participating members into three dedicated roles before the match begins to prevent wasted marches and uncoordinated attacks.
Rally Leaders
High-stat players serve as rally leaders. They anchor their settlements directly on the front line near major water facilities. Their marches must be reserved exclusively for launching rallies against enemy bases and contested buildings, or serving as primary defense anchors inside captured structures.
Rally Fillers
Fillers provide the troop volume required to reach maximum rally capacity. These players must avoid launching independent solo attacks against contested targets. Fillers should keep march queues open and join designated rallies within seconds of announcement, sending the specific troop types requested by the leader.
Fast Roamers
Mid-tier and lower-tier combatants operate as mobile roamers. Roamers capture outlying Water Tanks, secure Purified Water Nodes, and intercept lone enemy gatherers. Handling logistical objectives allows the main combat roster to focus entirely on settlement burns and contested facilities.
Managing Wounded Troops and Healing
Reservoir Raid does not permanently kill troops or consume standard resources for hospital recovery. However, hospital capacity and healing speed create strict operational limits. Running out of active troops sidelines your combat capability for extended periods.
To maintain continuous field presence, heal wounded troops in small batches rather than queuing your entire hospital capacity at once. Small batches allow your alliance members to reduce timers rapidly through help clicks, saving healing speedups for critical rally pushes.
Additionally, monitor your own settlement defenses while participating in offensive pushes. If an opponent targets your base while your marches are out filling rallies, recall troops immediately or relocate to avoid losing your garrison and filling your hospital.

Good guide for State of Survival players. The strategy part was useful.
The explanation is clear, especially for beginners.
This helped me understand strategy much better.
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
