To beat Round 90 in The Walking Dead No Man's Land Commonwealth War, eliminate Commonwealth ranged troopers immediately, lock down melee waves at narrow choke points using stuns, and reserve your final Action Points (AP) for defensive stances. At this late wave, taking unmitigated attacks from armored human soldiers or high-level walkers can wipe a survivor in a single turn.
Squad Composition and Essential Weapon Traits
Bring a balanced three-survivor squad that combines single-target armor penetration with multi-target crowd control. Raw survivor level is insufficient against high-tier Commonwealth armor; your weapons must carry traits that bypass armor and disable groups.
| Survivor Role | Recommended Class | Combat Priority | Key Weapon Traits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ranged DPS | Hunter or Shooter | Eliminating Commonwealth riflemen and snipers | Piercing, Lethal, High Critical Damage |
| Crowd Control | Warrior or Assault | Cleaving and stunning grouped melee walkers | Stun, Wide Arc, Concussion |
| Frontline Anchor | Bruiser or Scout | Holding bottlenecks and executing heavy units | Defensive, Retaliation, Disruptive |
Equip your ranged damage dealer with Piercing to prevent armored Commonwealth infantry from absorbing repeated attacks. Your melee controllers need Wide Arc and Stun to reliably disable several enemies per swing.
Target Priority Order
Eliminating the wrong target allows high-threat enemies to retaliate across the map. Attack threats in this sequence:
- Commonwealth Ranged Troopers: Kill these soldiers on the turn they enter line of sight. If you cannot secure the kill, apply an interrupt or hard stun to cancel their attack phase.
- Armored Melee Guards: Use high-damage piercing attacks or charged skills to break their armor before your frontline engages them directly.
- High-Speed Walkers: Cripple or immobilize fast walkers before they bypass your frontline anchor and reach vulnerable ranged survivors.
- Standard Walkers: Cluster and stun standard walkers at choke points. Do not spend high AP to eliminate them while human firearms remain active.
Action Point Economy and Stance Discipline
Every AP spent must either confirm a kill, apply hard crowd control, or reposition outside overlapping attack cones.
- Plan movement tiles before attacking: Move survivors so their cleaves hit at least two adjacent targets, maximizing stun chances across parallel lanes.
- Avoid empty moves: Never reposition without attacking unless the move takes a survivor completely out of a ranged firing line.
- Save AP for end-of-turn stances: End your turn with your frontline in a defensive or overwatch stance. An overwatch trigger interrupts charging melee units during the enemy phase before they can hit your squad.
Choke Point and Reinforcement Management
Do not push toward the perimeter spawn points. Overextending spreads your squad thin and leaves your backline exposed to newly spawned waves.
Anchor your team near narrow corridors or structural bottlenecks that force incoming walkers and Commonwealth guards into one- or two-tile lanes. Position your ranged survivor two to three spaces behind your melee crowd controller. This spacing maintains clear line of sight, keeps squishy survivors safe from newly spawned flankers, and allows your vanguard to chain stuns indefinitely.

Good guide for The Walking Dead No Man's Land players. The strategy part was useful.
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
Can you add more details about strategy in a future update?
