To capture a Lair in Tiles Survive!!, scout the objective's difficulty level and initiate a full-capacity alliance rally rather than attacking alone. Lairs are high-difficulty targets that cause heavy troop losses to solo players. Securing and holding these objectives requires synchronized alliance participation, balanced march compositions, and active garrison management throughout the occupation timer.
Launching Alliance Rallies
A single player should not attempt a solo attack on a Lair. Your primary action is to organize a unified rally led by a player with high march capacity.
- Assign Rally Leaders: Select players with high-level command centers to open the rally. Their march limits determine how many combined troops can join the wave.
- Prioritize Unit Tiers: Have participating members send their highest-tier units to the reinforcement queue to maximize combat efficiency.
- Stagger Rally Waves: If multiple members have strong command centers, launch staggered rally timers. If the first wave fails to break the Lair's initial defense threshold, the second wave lands immediately to prevent the target from recovering.
Managing Marches and Hero Compositions
Before committing forces, review your troop setup and hero stats to avoid wasted march slots and reduced damage output.
- Check Hero Stamina and Healing: Ensure all participating heroes are fully healed and possess enough stamina for prolonged combat before joining a march.
- Focus Unit Types: Avoid mixed troop formations unless your strategy requires them. Standardize the rally around single damage types—such as dedicated infantry or ranged formations—that align with the rally leader's hero buffs.
- Account for Travel Speeds: Check the distance and speed of incoming allies. Slow marchers spread across the map leave the rally open to interception by rival alliances.
Holding the Lair During Occupation
Breaking the Lair's initial defense does not grant instant control. The objective enters an occupation phase with an active progress bar that must fill while you defend against environmental counter-attacks and rival alliances.
- Establish the Garrison: Immediately fill the Lair garrison with fresh troops as soon as the initial defense breaks.
- Cycle Damaged Units: As garrisoned units take damage from defensive waves or rival attacks, rotation is required. Have members recall wounded troops and send healthy reinforcements.
- Coordinate Chat Refills: Call out low garrison health in alliance chat before a total wipeout occurs, as losing all garrisoned troops resets occupation progress.
Defensive Risks and Objective Limits
Committing troops to a Lair capture limits your options elsewhere. Units assigned to rallies or garrisons tie up your march slots, leaving your heroes unavailable for resource gathering and leaving your home base more vulnerable to enemy attacks.
Always scout the Lair's difficulty rating before committing resources. If a Lair's target level exceeds your alliance's collective march capacity, the Lair's health will regenerate faster than your rallies can deal damage, resulting in a stalled attempt. If your current power cannot sustain the garrison through the full occupation timer, target smaller objectives to expand your territory before tackling high-level Lairs.
