To clear Level 500 in Toon Blast, focus your opening moves on the bottom half of the board to trigger cascades, combine adjacent special items rather than detonating them individually, and switch to target clearing once the board opens up.

Opening Moves and Board Management

Level 500 restricts your movement early with multi-layered obstacles such as Wooden Crates and Balloons. Tapping small two-cube or three-cube clusters in isolated areas exhausts your move count without opening space.

Use this decision order for your opening turns:

  1. Check for natural clusters: Look for clusters of five or more matching cubes on your first turn to immediately produce a Rocket or Bomb.
  2. Target bottom blockers: If no power-up match exists, clear cubes touching Wooden Crates or Balloons along the lower rows. Popping cubes near the bottom forces overhead columns to fall, creating chain reactions that frequently form five-, seven-, or nine-cube clusters automatically.
  3. Merge separated colors: If four cubes of the same color sit near another piece of the same color, clear the neutral cubes separating them to merge the group into a special item.
  4. Ignore high-row distractions: Do not spend moves on small matches at the top of the grid unless they directly set up an adjacent special combo below.

Single power-ups lack the range to clear layered blockers efficiently. Position complementary special items next to each other to execute wide clears.

Special ComboBoard ImpactPrimary Tactical Use
Disco Ball + Disco BallClears the entire board and removes one layer from all obstaclesResets crowded boards and strips multi-layer crates instantly
Disco Ball + Rocket or BombConverts all cubes matching the Disco Ball's color into active power-upsClears dispersed balloons across multiple rows and columns
Bomb + RocketClears a cross shape measuring three rows by three columnsPunches through center walls and breaks multi-hit crates

The Bomb and Rocket pairing is your primary tool for breaking gridlocks. When a Disco Ball appears, spend one or two moves maneuvering a Rocket or second Disco Ball next to it rather than triggering it alone.

Pacing Moves Across Two Phases

Manage your move count by splitting the stage into two distinct phases:

  • Phase 1 (Board Opening): Direct all moves toward clearing bottom and center blockers until roughly sixty percent of the grid is open. Do not waste moves pursuing individual goal targets while they remain walled off.
  • Phase 2 (Objective Cleanup): Once the board has sufficient space to generate power-ups freely, target your required stage goals directly. Evaluate every tap to ensure it either collects target items or immediately forms a combination.

Booster Selection and Use

Reserve support tools for situations where a clear is guaranteed:

  • Hammer: Use only when a single target remains and you have no remaining moves to reach it naturally.
  • Boxing Glove: Clear a stubborn horizontal row if removing it drops two special items together for a match.
  • Anvil: Clear a full vertical column to drop an objective into the bottom collection zone.

If the opening layout repeatedly blocks progress, select pre-game boosters—specifically the pre-placed Rocket and Bomb—before starting the level. Starting with special items already on the board allows you to detonate a wide cross-clear on move one.
