In Top Force: Commander, the Hero Wall of Honor unlocks for an individual hero once you promote that unit to the maximum rank of 5 stars. After a hero hits this cap, the standard promotion interface closes, and subsequent duplicate shards from recruitment tickets, reward chests, or events convert into progression materials for that hero's honor plaque.
Instead of sitting unused in your inventory, excess shards invested into the Wall of Honor provide permanent, account-wide troop stat buffs across campaign stages, PvP duels, resource skirmishes, and base defense.
How Shard Conversion Works
Once a hero's 5-star cap is reached, additional copies feed directly into the Wall of Honor interface:
- Hero-Specific Duplicates: Surplus shards for a maxed hero directly fill the point meter on that hero's designated honor plaque.
- Universal Shards: Event rules occasionally permit universal shards to fill priority plaques, though specific hero fragments serve as the primary fuel.
- Tiered Activation: Completing a progression tier on a plaque permanently activates an account-wide combat boost that benefits entire troop formations rather than just the individual hero.
Wall of Honor Stat Bonuses
While basic hero promotions only enhance the stats of the specific unit deployed in a march, Wall of Honor tiers apply directly to your overarching military units:
| Stat Bonus | Primary Beneficiaries | Tactical Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Troop Attack Boost | Backline DPS, Artillery, Snipers | Depletes enemy frontline shields faster |
| Troop Defense Boost | Frontline Tanks, Armored Vehicles | Mitigates incoming skill and burst damage |
| Troop Max HP Boost | Full squad formation | Reduces casualties and hospital admissions |
| Class-Specific Lethality | Tailored squad matchups | Increases critical hit and armor penetration scaling |
Shard Investment Priorities
Because shards require significant ticket and event investment, avoid distributing materials evenly across your entire roster.
1. Main Attack March First
Focus duplicate shards on the five heroes forming your primary attack march. Prioritize offensive damage dealers to raise Troop Attack across your escort count, followed by frontline defense nodes to help your primary formation absorb early skill damage in duels.
2. Secondary Marches and Garrison
Once your primary march plaques reach steady milestones, channel surplus shards into secondary march leaders and base garrison defenders. Save universal shards strictly for rare Ultra Rare (UR) heroes that cannot be reliably recruited from daily drop pools.
3. Star Progression Over Early Plaques
Do not spend universal shards on Wall of Honor plaques if active members of your main five-hero formation are still sitting at 3 or 4 stars. Base star promotions provide immediate squad viability; premature Wall investment on a single unit will stunt your overall lineup power.
4. Align Upgrades With Power-Up Events
Hold duplicate shard upgrades until server events—such as Alliance Duel power-up days—are active. Upgrading plaque tiers during these windows allows you to claim event milestone crates while permanently scaling your army stats.

I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
Nice guide. I am checking the other Top Force: Commander articles next.
This guide answered the exact question I had.
