To defeat higher-level players in Top Force: Commander, stop launching head-on attacks against fortified headquarters. Superior players hold substantial research, hero, and troop tier advantages that overwhelm standard marches. Instead, focus on preserving your high-tier units, baiting enemy squads outside their walls, and leveraging alliance rallies to win asymmetric fights.

Scout Targets Before Attacking

Never attack an enemy base without reviewing an updated scout report. Direct base assaults against advanced commanders yield high casualties and heavy hospital bills.

Analyze the scout report for three decisive conditions:

  • Wall Defense: Identify the troop types and hero pairings assigned to the garrison. If the defense leans heavily on a single unit branch, tailor your march composition to counter that specific unit type.
  • Lootable Resources: Compare the base's stored resources against its warehouse protection threshold. Attacking a base with resources below its warehouse capacity risks your army for zero resource gain.
  • Reinforcement Risk: Check for nearby hostile alliance members. An isolated base can quickly receive high-tier garrison reinforcements while your march is en route.

If a defended base offers little loot or contains higher-tier defenders, cancel the attack. Redirect your marches toward exposed gathering nodes or isolated targets.

Shelter Your Troops During Hostile Raids

When an over-leveled opponent attacks or rallies your base, leaving your army inside guarantees massive hospital overflow and permanent troop death. Protect your units by adjusting your garrison posture to the threat level.

Defense StateTroop Stationing StrategyPrimary Operational Benefit

If an incoming attack is too strong to repel, remove your defenders from the wall so the enemy hits an empty garrison. Your base may burn and lose unprotected resources, but your army remains undamaged.

You can shelter your squads using three methods:

  1. Dispatch your troops to long-duration resource nodes located deep inside alliance territory.
  2. Station your squads as reinforcements inside an active, shielded ally’s base.
  3. Start an extended-duration fake rally against a distant, inactive base.

Intercept Field Marches and Bait Hostile Attacks

Higher-level players often leave themselves open when harvesting resources or operating away from their defensive walls.

Target secondary gathering squads on resource tiles. Strong commanders frequently harvest nodes using low-tier troops and utility heroes without combat buffs. Ambush these gathering tiles with your primary combat march, then recall your squad immediately before the enemy can launch a counterattack.

You can also coordinate a reinforcement trap with your alliance:

  1. Leave a low-power, tempting garrison visible on your wall.
  2. Have high-power alliance members march defensive reinforcements to your base.
  3. Time the reinforcement arrivals to land seconds before the hostile march impacts.

The enemy march will collide with a fully stacked garrison rather than an easy target, inflicting severe attacker casualties.

Coordinate Alliance Rallies

Solo marches cannot overcome significant tier and tech disparities. Defeating high-power fortified players requires combining forces through alliance rallies.

  • Assign the Strongest Lead: Ensure the player with the highest combat technology, best hero pairings, and largest rally capacity initiates the rally so the entire squad benefits from their leader buffs.
  • Match Troop Tiers: Fill the rally with your highest-tier units that match the rally leader's unit specialty. Avoid sending off-type or low-tier units that weaken total damage output.
  • Synchronize Speed-Ups: Use march acceleration items in unison to connect before enemy reinforcements stabilize the target base.

Monitor Hospital Capacity

Hospital capacity dictates how long you can sustain active combat. Any wounded unit exceeding your hospital bed limit dies permanently, wasting valuable resources and speedups.

Upgrade your hospital buildings alongside your headquarters. During active territory warfare, check your wounded count after every engagement. If your hospital fills past 80% capacity, immediately halt offensive sorties, shelter your remaining troops, and heal existing units in batches before returning to the field.
