To build an effective Hunter in Ulala: Idle Adventure, allocate attribute points in a 3-0-2 split between Agility and Tech, temper your gear slots for Attack and Crit, and cycle single-target focus skills to defeat stage bosses before enrage timers expire.

Attribute Point Allocation

Every five attribute points earned should go primarily toward offensive scaling:

AttributePoint RatioPrimary Stat Benefits
Agility3 PointsAttack, Critical Strike, Armor
Tech2 PointsCritical Strike, Impale, Armor
Stamina0 PointsHP, Tenacity

Agility is the Hunter's primary attribute, supplying base Attack scaling alongside Crit and Armor. Tech provides secondary offensive value by boosting Crit and Impale to overcome enemy defense. If unavoidable boss area-of-effect (AOE) attacks wipe your Hunter before your team's healer can respond, temporarily shift to a 3-1-1 split to add survivability through Stamina.

Skill Setups and Rotations

Skill loadouts depend on whether you are pushing single-target stage bosses or clearing multi-target waves.

Boss Single-Target Rotation

Equip low-cost focus generators alongside heavy burst spenders to maintain steady single-target damage:

  1. Quick Shot: Rapidly generates focus at a low energy cost to set up your primary damage skills.
  2. Aimed Shot: High-damage, focus-consuming finisher for burst windows.
  3. Piercing Shot: Deals heavy damage that scales when striking debuffed or low-health targets.
  4. Sunder (or Weak Spot Shot): Applies armor-shredding debuffs that increase physical damage from both the Hunter and the rest of the team.

Boss Adjustments:

  • Shields or Healing: Swap in Hawk - Gal or Boar Stance to provide continuous damage over time.
  • Boss Channeling: Slot Numbing Shot into skill slot 1 or 2 to interrupt critical boss abilities.

Multi-Target Wave Clear

When farming offline stages or fighting groups of three to four enemies, swap out single-target focus skills for AOE abilities:

  • Explosive Shot: Delivers immediate burst damage across clustered enemies.
  • Storm Shot: Hits targets across an area to maintain steady multi-target damage.
  • Arrow Barrage: Deals wide-spread damage to hit every enemy on screen.
  • Scatter Shot: Softens incoming targets before tank aggro locks.

Equipment Tempering Priorities

Tempering provides large stat bonuses that outscale base equipment levels. Lock and prioritize offensive stats across all eight equipment slots in this order:

  1. Attack: Primary priority on all gear; every Hunter skill scales from base Attack.
  2. Crit: Increases critical hit frequency, supporting the Hunter's multi-hit rotations.
  3. Impale: Bypasses enemy defense to maintain burst damage against tanky bosses.
  4. HP: The preferred defensive stat to survive team-wide AOE attacks.

Avoid rolling for Armor or Evasion on Hunter gear. Rely on your tank and healer to mitigate damage, using flat HP temper rolls only to avoid being one-shot.

Clatter Card Deck Optimization

Equip Clatter Cards to trigger damage set bonuses, and upgrade individual cards to higher star ranks via the Black Market to gain raw Attack:

  • Giant Jaw (6-Piece Bonus): Provides a percentage damage increase to basic attacks and physical skills.
  • Desert (3-Piece Bonus): Adds Critical Strike and penetration to complement Tech scaling.
  • Plains / Mountain: Adds secondary Attack bonuses and survival stats.

A 3-star lower-tier card will often outperform a 1-star rare card due to the flat Attack gained from star levels.

Pet Selection and Combat Utility

Deploy pets with high Assist growth ratings. Assist pets convert their personal stats directly into base Attack for your Hunter.

  • Pet Skills: Equip skills such as Inspire, Smash, and Onslaught to increase your Attack during opening rotations and align with team damage buffs.
  • Elemental Advantage: Swap pets to maintain the counter element against each stage boss using the standard cycle: Fire beats Lightning, Lightning beats Earth, Earth beats Water, and Water beats Fire.
