When a hero becomes corrupted during corruption events or boss encounters in UnGodly, do not attack the possessed party member directly. Instead, use crowd control abilities to kite the corrupted unit while focusing all direct attacks on the ritual object or boss entity creating the supernatural influence.

Building Faith and Resistance to Prevent Corruption

Maintaining a high Faith stat is the primary defense against supernatural corruption in late-game dungeons and boss fights. Allocating stat points into Faith increases a hero's scaling multiplier against charm and possession effects.

• Stat Allocation: Invest in Faith early for core party members to reduce how quickly external entities build up influence.
• Equipment Sets: Wear gear that provides flat resistance to influence, particularly when entering encounters focused on psychological combat mechanics.
• Dungeon Shrines: Activate localized shrines found on dungeon maps to grant your entire team localized resistance buffs before triggering major fights.
• Influence Triggers: Monitor your party for subtle color shifts or erratic movement. These visual cues indicate that an entity is actively filling a character's Influence Meter.

Tactical Response to Corrupted Party Members

When a hero's Influence Meter reaches maximum capacity, tactical control shifts away from the player. The corrupted hero turns hostile, targeting allies or altering combat priorities while gaining temporary damage mitigation buffs.

1. Contain the possessed hero: Apply stun, root, or slow abilities to keep the corrupted hero away from your fragile backline units.
2. Avoid direct damage on allies: Do not spend major cooldowns or direct damage on possessed teammates, as their temporary mitigation buffs cause most attacks to deal minimal damage.
3. Destroy the influence source: Direct all primary offensive abilities at the ritual object or boss spawning the control signal.
