To reach the 44,000-point ceiling in the Infinite War event in War and Order, concentrate your defense around track chokepoints, upgrade a small core of primary towers before expanding, and reserve active skills to burst down bosses.

Position Defenses at Route Chokepoints

Monsters in Infinite War follow predetermined marching lanes toward your base. Placing damage structures along straight stretches limits attack uptime, while sharp turns, U-bends, and intersections allow a single tower to strike targets across multiple lane segments.

  • Anchor the inside curves: Place crowd-control structures, such as Frost or Barracks towers, directly on the inside edge of bends to slow down incoming waves.
  • Overlap attack zones: Position your longest-range damage dealers where their operational radius covers multiple lane crossings.
  • Avoid spawn-gate clustering: Do not place high-cost damage towers directly at enemy spawn points. Enemies move at full speed out of the gate, leading to incomplete kills and leaving your backline exposed.

Upgrade Core Towers Before Expanding the Grid

Filling every open grid plot with Level 1 towers splits your energy pool and leaves you with weak defenses that cannot pierce scaling mid-game health pools. Maxing out two or three well-positioned towers creates a concentrated kill zone that clears normal waves reliably.

  1. Prioritize your central AoE anchor: Upgrade your main area-of-effect (AoE) tower at the primary chokepoint from Level 1 to Level 2 immediately before building extra structures elsewhere.
  2. Preserve synergy tiles: Leave open building spaces next to your slowing towers so your splash damage hits tightly grouped targets.
  3. Add single-target cleanup: After your primary AoE tower reaches Level 2, construct and upgrade a single-target burst tower to eliminate resistant runners that survive the splash zone.

Counter Monster Resistances

Review incoming wave previews to tailor your damage types. Relying exclusively on physical ballistic structures will cause runs to fail against armored or flying enemy types.

If an upcoming wave features heavily shielded vanguards, invest kill energy into magic damage upgrades rather than building additional physical ballistics.

Time Active Skills for Boss Waves

Active player skills offer powerful burst damage, stuns, and slowing effects, but careless casting leaves your defense vulnerable when difficult enemies arrive.

  • Hold skills for the chokepoint: Wait to cast spells until a boss unit enters the slowing radius of your primary kill zone.
  • Clear escorts to force single-target focus: Cast your main AoE skill while the boss is surrounded by support units. Clearing out swarm escorts allows single-target towers like Ballistas to lock directly onto the boss.
  • Save cooldowns late in waves: If your active towers can naturally finish off remaining stragglers, avoid using skills near the end of a round so your cooldowns are ready for the next wave.

Manage Energy and Avoid Panic Building

Placing defensive towers directly in front of your base exit diverts critical energy away from your forward kill zones. If monsters consistently reach your backline, the solution is increasing burst damage at your primary chokepoint rather than adding weak defenses at the exit.

Do not hoard large amounts of kill energy; spend it immediately on upgrades to keep pace with escalating enemy health. If an early scouting tower is out of position, sell it to recover resources and finalize an essential high-tier upgrade on a central kill tower.
