To maximize Co-op mode rewards in War Inc: Rising, you and your partner must clear deep milestone waves where high-tier unit shards, gold reserves, and reward chests scale up. Reaching these late milestones requires splitting your team into dedicated damage and support roles, filling your board before merging units, and banking mana to recover from boss disruption skills.

Assign Carry and Support Roles

Running two balanced decks prevents either player from scaling high enough to handle late-game mob health and movement speeds. To clear deep waves, divide duties between a damage carry and a crowd-control support player before the match begins.

RolePrimary ResponsibilitiesBoard Priorities
Damage CarryHigh single-target DPS, armor shredding, boss executionHold center board tiles, prioritize rank upgrades on primary damage dealers, and invest mana into damage stat levels.
Crowd SupportWave slows, stun locks, vulnerability debuffsPlace control units along entry lanes, maintain utility effects, and create openings for the carry to eliminate slowed targets.

The carry focuses on burning down high-health elites and bosses before they reach your defensive perimeter. The support player freezes, slows, and debuffs incoming waves inside the carry's firing lines, preventing mob swarms from overwhelming the defense without wasting the carry's board space on utility units.

Avoid Early Merging

A frequent mistake that ends runs early is merging units during the opening waves. Combining two rank-1 units into a single random rank-2 unit removes an active attacker from the field. In early rounds, a full grid of low-tier units outputs far more total attack volume than a few higher-tier units surrounded by empty spaces.

Follow this merge discipline to maintain steady board power:

  1. Fill every grid tile first: Summon units until no open spaces remain.
  2. Level units before merging: Spend mana on global unit type upgrades before combining individual units.
  3. Merge only one pair at a time: Combine units only when the board is completely full and mob scaling requires higher base stats.
  4. Keep replacement mana on hand: Never merge without enough mana in reserve to immediately summon a replacement unit onto the newly opened tile.

Merging recklessly without reserve mana creates empty tiles, allowing standard swarm waves to slip past your defenses.

Phase-by-Phase Mana and Upgrade Strategy

Because the mana cost of summoning increases with every unit pulled, blindly rolling for spawns yields diminishing returns. Balance your summoning costs against fixed mana-upgrade tiers across three match phases:

  • Waves 1 to 10 (Board Saturation): Spend your mana almost entirely on summoning. Fill all available grid slots to maximize total attack speed across the field before buying upgrade tiers.
  • Waves 11 to 25 (Universal Mana Leveling): Shift your spending to the fixed mana-upgrade tiers for your primary damage units. Upgrading a unit type at the bottom of the screen boosts the attack power of every unit of that type on the board, providing more total damage per mana spent than costly individual summons.
  • Waves 26 and Beyond (Targeted Merges): Alternate between purchasing final mana tiers and merging duplicate high-tier units to free up grid space. Only summon a new unit when an open tile is created through a merge.

Bank Mana for Boss Disruptions

Bosses act as hard progression checks that frequently wipe teams that spend all their currency immediately. Many bosses cast disruption abilities that scramble unit positions, downgrade unit tiers, or temporarily disable board tiles.

In the waves directly preceding an elite boss, stop summoning random units and pause non-essential merges. Keep a pool of unspent mana going into the encounter. If a boss ability disables or downgrades your primary damage dealers, this banked mana lets you instantly summon replacements or re-level depleted unit types, preventing an immediate defeat.
