Upgrade your Sylphs in Wartune Ultra only during active Sylph consumption and upgrade rebate events. Spending Sylph Sepulcrum and Mahra outside of these scheduled windows grants normal stat upgrades, but it forfeits the material refunds, chests, and bonus progression items returned by event milestones.
To maximize account growth, hoard your materials until an event launches, calculate the exact milestones you can reach, and stop spending immediately once you hit your target tier.
How Sylph Rebate Events Work
Sylph rebate events track the total quantity of Mahra and Sylph Sepulcrum consumed during the event window. Reaching designated spending thresholds unlocks bonus packages, usually delivered through the event interface or in-game mail. These packages return a percentage of your spent materials alongside supplementary items such as Sylph EXP scrolls and upgrade chests.
Spending off-cycle permanently loses these returns. While daily spending provides steady, minor Battle Rating increases, hoarding materials for event windows lowers the net cost of advancing Sylph quality and growth tiers. The refunds earned from one milestone can frequently supply the remaining materials needed to clear the next milestone in the same session.
Managing Material Thresholds
Rebate events reward progress in fixed tiers rather than continuous scaling. If you consume materials past a completed milestone but lack the inventory to hit the subsequent tier, those extra materials yield zero event rewards.
Before using any items, follow this sequence:
- Audit your total stockpile: Count all unbound Mahra, Sylph Sepulcrum, and unopened resource chests in your bag to establish your total available currency.
- Identify your target threshold: Check the active event panel to see the highest tier your current inventory can guarantee.
- Spend in batches: Upgrade your Sylph up to the verified milestone, then claim the rebate rewards from the event menu or mailbox.
- Reinvest refunds: Add refunded items to your remaining inventory to check if you can now reach the next tier.
- Stop at the cutoff: If your total resources fall short of the next tier, save all leftover materials for the following event cycle.
| Upgrade Step | In-Game Action | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Stockpile Audit | Tally bagged Mahra, Sepulcrum, and chests | Determines highest reachable event tier |
| Batch Spending | Upgrade only until the planned milestone is met | Secures event rewards without wasting materials |
| Claim & Reinvest | Collect rebate items before spending further | Uses cashback items toward higher tiers |
| Surplus Preservation | Hold remaining items if next tier is unreachable | Forms the base stockpile for the next rotation |
Sylph Upgrade Priorities
Invest all event-rebate spending into your primary active Sylph before distributing materials across secondary roster pets. Your deployed Sylph directly drives performance across campaign stages, dungeons, arenas, and world bosses. Spreading resources evenly across multiple pets slows down tier advancements on your main fighter.
Only allocate materials to secondary Sylphs under two conditions:
- Your primary Sylph has reached a hard progression ceiling, such as a character level restriction or evolution requirement.
- You need a minor expenditure to finish an event spending tier, but your primary Sylph cannot receive the specific material type.
Secondary Sylphs provide passive profile stats, meaning excess spending required to reach a milestone remains useful, but your primary combat pet should always take priority.
Inventory Management Between Events
To prevent accidental off-cycle spending, leave resource choice chests and Sylph material packs unopened in your bag until an event begins. Unopened chests protect your resources from misclicks during standard interface navigation. Once the event banner appears and you confirm the active countdown timer, open only the chests necessary to reach your target milestone.

I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
The explanation is clear, especially for beginners.
Good guide for Wartune Ultra players. The resources part was useful.
This saved me time in the early game.
