To progress efficiently through the Mergeventure event in Whiteout Survival, prioritize clearing cobwebbed tiles to expand your grid, spend generator energy strictly to fulfill active customer orders, and avoid working on multiple high-tier item branches at the same time.
How to Unlock Cobwebbed Board Tiles
When starting a Mergeventure board, frozen and cobwebbed items occupy most of the grid. These tiles are immobile and cannot be tapped directly, severely limiting your operational room.
Unlocking these spaces takes priority over completing standard customer orders during the opening phase:
- Identify an accessible cobwebbed item, noting its item type and level tier.
- Tap the matching generator to produce Level 1 base components for that item branch.
- Merge identical free-moving items until you create a piece matching the exact type and tier of the locked tile.
- Drag the matching free piece directly onto the cobwebbed tile.
- The two items combine into the next tier up, permanently freeing that grid slot for normal use.
Target edge and corner tiles containing high-value items first. Combining items directly with cobwebbed tiles saves board space while instantly promoting your pieces up the crafting ladder.
Managing Generator Energy and Spawns
Energy dictates your production rate. Every generator tap consumes one point of energy to dispense a single base item. Because generators often spit out items from two or three distinct branching lines, blind tapping rapidly exhausts energy and litters your board with unusable scraps.
| Energy Source | Availability | Usage Strategy |
|---|---|---|
| Time Regeneration | Continual (caps out) | Spend regularly to avoid idling at max capacity |
| Daily Event Missions | Daily reset | Clear promptly for scheduled bulk energy refills |
| Level-Up Rewards | Upon milestone rank | Trigger only when your grid has space for new drops |
| Gem Purchases | Daily scaled tiers | Buy low-cost tiers only when pushing close milestones |
Check the requirements of your target order before tapping. Calculate the approximate base items needed, produce them in controlled sets, and stop tapping as soon as you have the required pieces on the board.
Order Selection and Board Control
Customer orders displayed above the board award event points, milestone tokens, and resource crates. Orders split into low-tier requests (Levels 3 through 5) and high-tier objectives (Level 7 and above). Because item requirements double with every tier—a Level 7 item requires 64 Level 1 base pieces—managing board space is critical to avoid total grid lockout.
Apply these rules to maintain board flow:
- Target one major order at a time: Never pursue two high-tier items from different generators simultaneously. Juggling separate generator branches splits your usable space and fills the board with incompatible items.
- Fulfill low-tier byproduct orders: Use secondary drops from your primary generator to fulfill quick low-tier orders, cycling the queue and earning incremental rewards.
- Group items by tree: Place generators in one corner and align their respective upgrade chains in adjacent rows to keep merges readable.
- Keep an open safety buffer: Maintain three to four empty tiles before tapping generators to ensure incoming drops have space to land.
- Sell low-tier clutter when stuck: If the grid fills up and leaves no valid merges, delete or sell unneeded Level 1 or Level 2 items from inactive branches to reopen working space.

I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
