To collect physical media lore items in Zenless Zone Zero, visit the storefront entrance of Random Play in New Eridu whenever a major version update launches or after receiving a system notification regarding Phaethon updates. Check the ground directly outside the store for interactive physical objects, such as marked videotapes left alongside printed notes.
How to Find and Collect Storefront Media
Physical media drops appear as static environmental prompts in the hub area rather than menu-based rewards. When developers deploy limited-time content or narrative teasers, interactive items spawn near the shop entrance.
- Check the Entrance: Upon logging in after an update, walk the perimeter of the Random Play storefront before entering any combat menus.
- Inspect Interactive Prompts: Look for taped packages or printed notes addressed to "New Eridu's Residents" or "Proxy."
- Trigger Archive Logs: Interact with the item to trigger self-contained dialogue sequences and register new entries inside the Phaethon's Path menu log.
Some promotional media drops are stationary and limited to specific patch windows. If you do not inspect them before the update period ends, the associated lore prompts may expire.
Balancing Scavenging with Progression
Scavenging for physical media provides context for main story beats and character motivations, but it does not replace core stamina-consuming loops.
| Activity Type | Primary Output | Stamina Cost | Time Sensitivity | Priority Level |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Storefront Media Scavenging | Lore entries, archive logs, minor account bonuses | 0 Battery | Limited-time or update windows | Cooldown / Low |
| Daily Commissions | Account EXP, standard progression resources | 0 Battery | Daily reset | High |
| Drive Disc & Material Farming | Combat upgrade materials, gear stats | Consumes Battery | Permanent | High |
Treat physical media collection as a quick cooldown task. Sweep the hub area for five minutes following patch maintenance to log temporary narrative items, then proceed to spend your daily stamina on drive disc farming and high-level combat challenges like Hollow Zero.
