To unlock the tier-four Golden Cloak cosmetic in Zero Immortal, your Immortal alliance must defend its reign through the Week 4 Rite of Exile by winning a decisive majority of the ten concurrent 8v8 matches. Losing six or more battles to challenger Shadow clans immediately forces the cycle into the next phase or terminates your reign.
Because Shadow clans accumulate stacking damage and damage-reduction buffs through their clan ranks by Week 4, your alliance cannot rely on brute force. Defending the crown requires pre-assigned battle rosters, bottleneck control during the Guardian phase, and objective stalling during the Idol escort.
Bracket Allocation Across the Ten Battlefields
Do not spread your highest-combat-rating players evenly across all ten lobbies. Immortal leadership should assign rosters at least 24 hours in advance based on reconnaissance of the top ten Dark Houses.
- Top-Bracket Heavy Stacks (Ranks 1–3): Match your highest-rated players directly against the strongest Shadow clans to suppress their primary offensive threats and deny early momentum.
- Mid-Bracket Counter Squads (Ranks 4–7): Deploy balanced, objective-focused rosters against mid-tier clans. These four lobbies typically decide the overall outcome when top brackets split wins.
- Disruption Hold Squads (Ranks 8–10): Field high-durability teams equipped with crowd control and stalling abilities against lower-tier Dark Houses to bleed out match timers and secure safe wins.
Every lobby must have a designated captain and caller to coordinate engagements and prevent unassigned players from entering the wrong battle brackets.
Phase 1: Defending the Perimeter and Guardians
In the opening stage, Shadows must destroy perimeter defenses and defeat the sacred Guardians to open the path to the base.
- Establish a Forward Choke Point: Form a defensive line at narrow corridor entrances rather than collapsing backward around the Guardian. Forcing Shadows into tight spaces exposes their backline to concentrated area-of-effect abilities.
- Rotate Frontline Crowd Control: Have frontline classes like Crusaders and Barbarians rotate displacement skills and area stuns to disrupt enemy channeling and initiation attempts.
- Target Attackers Over Frontline Tanks: When a Guardian takes damage, ranged damage dealers should ignore high-durability tanks and direct their burst damage at enemy backline attackers to cut off sustained damage.
Phase 2: Idol Escort Disruption Formation
Phase 2 requires defenders to stop two Idols from reaching the Immortal base. An Idol halts completely whenever a defender contests its radius, but it moves forward if attacking Shadows outnumber defenders within the ring.
To manage both paths without over-committing to a single lane, split your eight-player squad into a 3-3-2 structure:
| Squad Role | Player Count | Composition | Primary Function |
|---|---|---|---|
| Left Lane Team | 3 | 1 Disruptor Tank, 1 Support, 1 Ranged DPS | Contest the left Idol radius and interrupt pushes. |
| Right Lane Team | 3 | 1 Disruptor Tank, 1 Support, 1 Ranged DPS | Contest the right Idol radius and interrupt pushes. |
| Roaming Duo | 2 | High-Mobility Assassins or Burst Flankers | Reinforce whichever lane faces a stacked push. |
The roaming duo must monitor the mini-map continuously and reinforce lanes where the enemy has numerical superiority. Because defenders win on time exhaustion, trading kills evenly inside the objective radius favors your team by running down the clock while Shadow players wait on respawn timers.
Stat Adjustments and Failure Points to Avoid
Two common errors cause alliances to lose their Week 4 defense:
- Over-Chasing Low-Health Targets: Abandoning an Idol or choke point to chase retreating Shadows leaves objectives open for stealth captures. Prioritize objective presence and time denial over kill counts.
- Ignoring Week 4 Stat Scaling: Due to cumulative Shadow attack buffs, glass-cannon setups fail quickly. Before match day, swap secondary stats toward damage reduction, shield duration, and crowd-control resistance to survive sustained enemy pushes.
