To escape pursuing zombie hordes in Zombie For Real??, immediately move off ground-level streets and climb onto rooftops. Infected enemies struggle to navigate vertical obstacles compared to your player character, making vertical movement your primary tool for breaking line-of-sight and recovering distance.

Escape Routes and Movement Mechanics

When targeted by a horde, scan your immediate environment for yellow traversal elements, low walls, dumpsters, scaffolding, and pipes. Use these fixtures to reach roof level rather than sprinting along streets, where you risk getting pinned against walls or attacked from multiple angles.

Keep your speed up by chaining traversal actions without stopping:

  • Vaulting: Clear low barriers directly to preserve forward speed instead of performing standard jumps.
  • Ledge Grabbing: Time your grab button press just before reaching a ledge to transition smoothly into a sprint as you pull yourself up.
  • Sliding: Slide under low obstacles and through tight passages to clear crouch-only areas without dropping speed. Keep your view pointed toward your exit point throughout the slide.

Stamina and Path Selection

Parkour maneuvers consume stamina. Continuous sprinting or repeated heavy movements lead to exhaustion, which disables your ability to vault or sprint.

  • Pacing: Use short sprint bursts to gain initial distance, then shift to a steady jog across elevated rooftops to regenerate your stamina bar.
  • Camera Position: Focus your camera forward to spot the next two or three landing points. Looking back at pursuing enemies increases the risk of missing jumps or hitting dead ends.
  • Risk Evaluation: High-altitude rooftop paths eliminate ground attacks but carry fall damage risks if you miss a jump. Lower paths are easier to navigate but leave you closer to infected. When low on health, prioritize longer routes with clear drop-down points over long-distance rooftop leaps.
