To unlock the Kamikaze achievement in Zombie Night Terror, you must eliminate at least four living humans simultaneously using a single Overloader zombie explosion. The achievement unlocks the moment four uninfected human deaths register from that single blast.

Overloader Mutation Rules and Kill Requirements

The Overloader mutation turns a selected zombie into a timed explosive. Once activated, the zombie swells, flashes red, and detonates after a fuse of approximately two seconds. The blast deals fatal point-blank damage in a compact circular radius, but it will not penetrate solid barriers such as closed doors or thick walls.

To meet the achievement criteria, all four targets must be living humans at the exact moment of detonation:

Mechanic FactorOverloader PropertyAchievement Impact
Target StatusLiving, uninfected humanInfected humans in the turning state and existing zombies do not count.
Fuse WindowApproximately two secondsThe unit must be positioned directly inside the group before detonation.
Blast RadiusCompact circular area of effectVictims must be tightly grouped; outlying targets take non-lethal knockback.
Line of SightBlocked by walls and solid barriersBlast damage cannot pass through obstacles to hit adjacent rooms.

Attempt this achievement on early Chapter 1 levels containing clusters of unarmed civilians rather than armed opposition. Unarmed civilians follow predictable flee mechanics: when your zombies approach, they sprint away until blocked by a wall, a closed door, or an obstacle.

Armed enemies should be avoided for this unlock. Gunfire staggers and destroys zombies before the two-second fuse completes. Early residential stages and alleyways feature multiple civilians sharing single-corridor paths and dead ends, offering low-risk kill zones and sufficient DNA to execute the mutation.

Step-by-Step Herding and Detonation Strategy

Random horde rushes scatter targets and risk premature infections. Use a controlled approach to funnel four targets into a single corner:

  1. Seal the exit: If the area is not already a natural dead end, position a Blocker zombie just past the civilians' primary escape route.
  2. Herd from one direction: Send one or two standard zombies toward the civilians from the opposite side. Do not send your full horde, as extra zombies increase the risk of biting and infecting targets before the explosion.
  3. Allow the crowd to compress: As the panicked civilians hit the dead end or your Blocker, their collision boxes push together into a tight cluster.
  4. Trigger the Overloader: Walk your explosive zombie directly into the center of the trapped civilians, then activate the Overload mutation while they remain pinned.

Failure Points to Avoid

  • Accidental infection: Standard zombies automatically bite humans within reach. If a civilian is bitten and begins turning into a zombie while the Overloader fuse ticks down, that victim will not count as a human kill. Mutate your lead zombie before it initiates a bite, or isolate your explosive unit so companion zombies cannot attack the trapped targets.
  • Premature detonation: The Overloader does not explode on contact. If you prime the zombie too early while it is still approaching the corner, it will detonate short of the cluster, killing only the closest civilian and knocking the rest away.
  • Human scatter: If the ceiling is high and the corridor wide, civilians may try to leap past approaching zombies. Keep your spacing tight, trap targets in low-ceiling corridors where jump pathing is restricted, and restart from the checkpoint immediately if any civilian slips outside the blast perimeter.
