After battles, you can explore zombie-infested restricted zones for experience points, game money, equipment items, and Zombie DNA Cards. Exploration consumes character energy, creating a resource-management layer: energy recovers over time or can be restored with items, so deciding when to send characters into the field is part of maintaining progress. Restricted zones may also reveal clues to a secret laboratory, giving exploration an additional objective beyond gathering standard rewards.

The Secret Laboratory is a special multi-stage dungeon discovered through maps found in restricted zones. Clearing its stages quickly improves your rank and rewards, while the final stage places a powerful boss between you and clues about the world’s secrets. That structure gives the game a distinct progression rhythm: strengthen your party, search dangerous areas, manage energy, then attempt a more demanding timed challenge with better rewards at stake. Combat and exploration also feed into the Zombie DNA cloning system. DNA Cards obtained from those activities let you clone and strengthen different zombies. These cloned zombies can join battles or work on your ranch for production, connecting your combat-focused roster to a management system. Collecting unusual creatures such as zombie cows and combining recipes to create rarer zombies adds another reason to keep exploring and gathering materials.

The PC format is useful when these systems begin to overlap. A larger display can make it easier to read the battlefield, distinguish each club’s role, follow the available combat information, and compare equipment or character options before committing to a party.
