Age of Magic: Turn Based RPG on PC is a fantasy strategy RPG set on the ruined remnants of an ancient world floating in the void, where mages, knights, dragons, and demons struggle for control as the lights in the sky disappear. You take the role of the player building and directing a squad of five heroes, following the Dragon Prophecy and the quest of Roland the True Mage as he searches for the Dark Tower. The story campaign provides the main narrative route through this world of light and darkness, introducing legendary characters, dangerous enemies, and raid battles along the way. Sharazar, the changeling assassin, is one of the figures tied to this broader conflict, while the Legion’s demons represent the threat consuming the last remaining lights. The setting gives the campaign a clear sense of purpose, but the game’s structure is built around developing a roster and testing it across several different activities rather than simply moving from one story fight to the next.

The central loop is straightforward but tactical: collect heroes, form a five-character party, enter quick turn-based battles, and improve the team with experience, equipment, upgraded abilities, and higher rarity. The roster includes more than 60 heroes drawn from groups such as Kobolds, Elves, Demons, Druids, Changelings, Dragonkin, and Ra’Archnes, so team construction is a major part of the strategy. Each character’s class, skills, faction, weapons, and armour contribute to the way a party handles a fight, making the choice of a balanced or specialized lineup more important than simply selecting the strongest individual units. In Campaign mode, that planning is applied against story enemies and raid encounters; in the PvP Arena, it is used against other players in daily competitive battles. The weekly 24-hour Tournament offers another competitive objective, asking you to climb toward the top for glory and epic rewards. Outside those modes, the Tomb of Horrors and Valley of Treasures provide focused challenges against powerful enemies guarding unique rewards, while events introduce additional encounters with tricky characters and unusual abilities. On PC, a larger display makes it easier to inspect the full battle scene, follow turn-based combat information, compare heroes’ equipment and abilities, and keep track of the different options available while planning a five-hero squad. Keyboard-and-mouse controls also make repeated menu actions—such as moving between the hero roster, gear screens, upgrade options, and campaign or PvP modes—more comfortable, especially when managing a growing collection. That larger, more organized view is useful when weighing upgrades, preparing for a Tournament, or deciding which combination of heroes is best suited to the next challenge.
