To win Egg Snatching competitive events in Aniimo Chaos Mode, deploy defensive Totems near objective zones to establish safe recovery perimeters and control high-traffic paths. Because incoming combat damage is significantly higher in Chaos Mode, static Totem defense provides the damage absorption and area denial required to hold capture points and ferry eggs safely back to base.

Positioning Totems around Objectives

Setting up defensive structures directly on an egg spawn exposes them to immediate area-of-effect damage from incoming enemies. Build your Totems five to ten paces away from the spawn location instead. This offset creates a controlled chokepoint that forces attackers to fight through your defensive aura before they can touch the objective.

When deploying multiple structures, stagger their locations around the capture zone:

• Triangular Overlap: Arrange three Totems in a triangle around your primary defense zone so the defensive aura remains active if one structure falls.
• Chokepoint Anchors: Place Totems at narrow path intersections leading to the spawn to catch incoming raids before they reach your main squad.
• Late-Game Reserves: Hold back secondary Totem building capacity until the final three minutes of the match, when objective fighting peaks at the central capture point.

Defending and Maintaining Totem Structures

Holding a fortified position requires active team coordination during enemy pushes. If a Totem is destroyed, your squad loses its primary cover and becomes vulnerable to fast steal tactics.

1. Assign a Dedicated Anchor: Keep one team member stationed inside the Totem perimeter at all times while remaining squad members scout or contest nearby objectives.
2. Focus Healing on Structures: Direct unit repairs and healing spells onto the Totem structure during heavy enemy raids rather than spending resources on damaged creatures.
3. Apply Crowd Control: Use knockback abilities and stuns on approaching enemies to stop them from focusing damage on your fortification.
4. Avoid Chasing Retreating Enemies: Maintain your position inside the defensive aura instead of pursuing fleeing attackers, preventing stealth units from stealing undefended eggs.

Managing Totem Trade-offs and Composition Counters

Totems provide strong stationary protection, but their static nature creates specific tactical vulnerabilities. If an egg spawn relocates across the map, existing structures cannot move with your team. Abandon useless structures promptly rather than over-defending empty territory.

Static defenses are also vulnerable to long-range and siege compositions that can damage your team from outside the Totem's area of effect.
