To defeat difficult bosses and open-world encounters in Aniimo, structure your combat sequence around shattering the enemy's Guard Gauge. Deploy matching elemental counters and high-Break units to stun the target, then immediately swap to high-damage attackers to burst down their health bar.

How Shield Breaks and Guard Gauges Work

Before attacking, identify the target's elemental affinity by observing their elemental aura. Matching your attacks to counter their element accelerates Guard Gauge depletion and avoids wasting resources like stamina and health in prolonged fights.

When an enemy has an active shield:

1. Deploy high-Break units: Use creatures with elevated Break stats and elemental advantages to rapidly drain the enemy's Guard Gauge.
2. Trigger the Break state: Once shattered, the enemy becomes immobile for a brief duration and takes increased damage from all attacks.
3. Swap to high-DPS units: Immediately rotate in your primary damage dealers to execute your most powerful abilities during this vulnerability window.

Managing Ability Rotations and Stamina

Sustaining offensive pressure without running out of defense requires tracking cooldowns and pacing your evasion.
