To capture wild creatures efficiently in Aniimo without wasting capture items or triggering combat, approach your target from behind or from higher elevation while crouch-walking to remain undetected outside the creature's vision cone.

Stealth Capture Sequence

Executing a successful capture requires observing the target's behavior and approaching during a low-alert state.

1. Observe Patrol Paths: Position yourself at a safe distance with a clear line of sight to map the creature's patrol loop and identify where it pauses or relaxes.
2. Approach via Crouch-Walking: Use terrain cover such as tall grass or rock formations, and crouch-walk to enter proximity from behind or above.
3. Time the Capture: Monitor the interaction icon and execute the capture attempt when the visual timing cue or relaxation state appears.

Handling Aggro and Scared Creatures

Rushing toward a wild creature or making too much noise fills its alert threshold, causing skittish targets to flee or aggressive ones to attack.

• Breaking Line of Sight: If a target enters an alert or hostile state, break line of sight immediately by dropping behind terrain or running away instead of fighting.
• Resetting the Encounter: Retreating to a safe distance allows the creature to drop aggro and return to its idle patrol loop, preserving its unique state without consuming party healing items.
• Avoiding Unnecessary Fights: Defeating a target in standard combat risks despawning the creature before a capture window can be established.

Inventory and Team Priority

Managing capture tools and squad composition prevents inventory clutter and keeps collection progression steady.
