Aniimo Interaction Guide: Positioning, Prompts, and Creature Stealth

To interact with world objects, talk to NPCs, or initiate creature captures in Aniimo, you must stand directly in front of your target within a small detection radius. Interaction hitboxes strictly depend on your character's facing direction. When properly positioned, context-sensitive UI prompts appear near the center-bottom of your screen to confirm the available action.

Character Positioning and Context Prompts

Because Aniimo uses direction-dependent detection hitboxes, standing beside or slightly away from an object prevents interaction icons from loading.

• Target Facing: Turn your character to face directly toward the NPC, harvesting node, or creature.
• Detection Distance: Close the distance until the context-sensitive icon renders near the center-bottom of your screen.
• Prompt Actions: The displayed icon indicates whether your keypress will start quest dialogue, open a vendor shop, or initiate a creature capture sequence.

Wild Creature Engagement and Stealth

Approaching wild creatures requires managing proximity to prevent them from fleeing or drawing nearby hostiles into combat.

1. Observe Idle States: Move toward a wild creature only while it performs an idle animation. Stop moving immediately if an alert icon appears above it.
2. Clear the Alert: Wait for the alert indicator to completely vanish before advancing further.
3. Scan Surroundings: Adjust your camera 360 degrees to check for surrounding enemies. If a danger indicator pulses on your HUD, back away to reset aggression before committing to an interaction.
4. Execute Interaction: Press the capture prompt as soon as you reach interaction distance without triggering a flee state.

Navigating Social Hubs Efficiently

Densely populated hubs contain vendors, mission boards, and player collision boxes that can slow down movement.

• Bypass Congestion: Use jump-dash movement to clear short distances and move past static clutter or player crowds near active quest NPCs.
• Follow Objective Markers: Track color-coded interactive zone markers on your mini-map overlay to reach quest destinations directly.
• Plaza Reset: If you lose your bearings in residential sectors, return to the central plaza. Primary utility vendors are located around these central coordinates.

Menu Hotkeys and Radial Setup

Streamlining your menu usage prevents unnecessary downtime during field exploration.

• Assign Hotkeys: Use dedicated keybinds for your inventory and quest logs to avoid clicking through nested sub-menus.
• Configure Radial Menu: Map high-frequency field items—such as capture tools, bait, traversal tools, and health restoratives—to the radial wheel for quick selection without opening full inventory screens.
• Safe Zone Management: Perform heavy inventory sorting and gear management inside safe zones or near friendly NPCs to avoid hostile interruptions.
