To fuse Yobo in Bit Heroes Quest, obtain the Yobo schematic along with the Yeti and Bobo familiars from Zone 2 dungeons, then combine them at the town crafting bench. Yobo serves as an early-game Epic frontline tank whose primary defense relies on Deflect, a mechanic that completely negates incoming attack damage and reflects the full value back onto the attacker.

Required Fusion Materials and Drop Locations

Unlocking Yobo requires finding his Epic schematic and successfully capturing both component familiars.

ComponentRarityDrop LocationCapture Notes
YetiRareZone 2 Dungeons (Lake Alpha)High Stamina pool; use gold persuasion unless gems are abundant
BoboRareZone 2 Dungeons (Cave of the Moon)Balanced stats; standard Rare capture rate
Yobo SchematicEpicZone 2 Heroic Dungeons / Raid 1Drops randomly from chests, bosses, or dungeon clears

Run Zone 2 dungeons on Heroic difficulty to encounter Yeti and Bobo as battle minions while farming for the schematic. If either familiar prompts a capture roll, offer gold to persuade. Reserve gems for guaranteed bribes only if you have a surplus. Because schematic drops depend on random chance, farming on bonus item-find days or using item-find scrolls improves your odds.

How Yobo Operates in Combat

Yobo excels at countering heavy single-target burst damage in early zones. While standard tanks absorb damage through high health pools or percentage damage mitigation, Yobo relies on innate Deflect rolls. When Deflect activates:

  • The incoming physical or magical attack deals zero damage to Yobo.
  • The full incoming damage value reflects directly back to the enemy unit that initiated the hit.

Place Yobo in the first position of your team lineup. Zone 2 and Zone 3 encounters frequently direct single-target burst abilities at the frontline unit, allowing Yobo to turn boss attacks into offensive counter-damage while shielding your character and backline healer.

Yobo vs. Shrampz: Which Early Tank to Build

The choice between building Yobo (an Epic fusion) or Shrampz (a Rare fusion) comes down to farming cost versus mitigation type:

  • Farming Investment: Shrampz requires Shrump and Gramps, both of which are Common familiars found in Zone 1. Stabling Shrampz to +5 is substantially faster and uses far less energy. Yobo requires two Rare familiars and an Epic schematic, making initial creation and duplicate stabling much more expensive.
  • Mitigation Mechanics: Shrampz uses Block, which triggers frequently and halves incoming damage. Yobo uses Deflect, which completely negates and redirects damage when triggered, but leaves him exposed to unmitigated hits when it fails.
  • Stabling Comparison: A single Yobo (+0) has higher base stats than an unstabled Shrampz (+0). However, a fully stabled Shrampz (+5) provides larger raw stat bonuses than a +0 Yobo.

If you obtain the Yobo schematic naturally while clearing Zone 2, craft a single copy of Yobo to handle tough heroic encounters. If you already have a +5 Shrampz, do not halt zone progression solely to farm duplicate copies of Yobo.

Equip Yobo to improve baseline survivability on turns when Deflect does not trigger:

  • Brain and Sub-Augments: Select defensive augments that activate when taking damage or triggering a deflect. Shield-granting passives provide temporary health buffers to cushion direct hits.
  • Avoid Offensive Augments: Do not equip flat damage augments. Yobo's role is strictly damage mitigation and survival.

Use Yobo through Zone 2, Zone 3, and early raid content. Transition away from Yobo once you unlock higher-tier Epic or Legendary tanks, such as Glarzdos, or when enemy damage scaling outpaces an unstabled Epic familiar.
