You should skip fusing Booty in Bit Heroes Quest. While Booty is commonly the first familiar fusion schematic you find in Zone 1, crafting it wastes scarce early gold and monster capture opportunities on a generalist unit that quickly falls behind in dungeon progression.
Instead of spending resources on Booty, save your materials to fuse Shrampz and Bor'lan, two early-game familiars that fulfill essential specialized combat roles.
Why Booty Falls Behind Early
Booty functions primarily as an introductory tutorial for the fusion crafting system. Its combat effectiveness is undermined by several key limitations:
- Balanced Stat Spread: Bit Heroes Quest heavily favors specialized team roles. Booty splits its stat points evenly across Power, Stamina, and Agility. Without concentrated Stamina, it cannot survive front-row tanking against dungeon bosses. Without dedicated Power or Agility, its attacks deal mediocre damage and cycle slowly.
- Lack of Utility: Booty relies on basic single-target attacks without high-impact secondary effects like shields, group healing, or critical strike buffs.
- Poor Stabling Returns: Fusing duplicate copies to stable a familiar provides stat bonuses up to five tiers (+5). Because Booty's underlying kit lacks utility and focused stats, investing capture attempts and fusion fees to stable it delivers poor value.
| Familiar | Primary Role | Key Stat Focus | Fusion Recipe | Core Tactical Function |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Booty | Generalist | Balanced (Pow / Sta / Agi) | Zone 1 components | Basic single-target damage |
| Shrampz | Tank | Heavy Stamina | Shrump + Gramps | Absorbs hits, blocks damage, protects backline |
| Bor'lan | Healer / Support | Power and Agility | Bob + Mer'lan | Fast turn cycling and low-cost team healing |
What to Fuse Instead: Shrampz and Bor'lan
Direct your early dungeon energy and persuasion gold toward the components needed for Shrampz and Bor'lan. Together with your hero, these two units establish a standard dungeon-clearing core:
- Farm Shrampz (Tank): Capture Shrump and Gramps to fuse Shrampz. Its massive Stamina pool and defensive traits keep your team alive by absorbing direct boss hits in the front row.
- Farm Bor'lan (Healer): Capture Bob and Mer'lan to fuse Bor'lan. Its high Power and Agility allow it to generate turn meter quickly and cast frequent heals to sustain Shrampz.
What to Do if You Found the Schematic
- If you have the schematic: Leave it uncrafted. Schematics in Bit Heroes Quest permanently register in your crafting ledger and do not consume gear inventory space. You do not need to delete or sell it.
- If you already fused Booty: Use it temporarily as a front-row or middle filler to clear early regular mobs, but do not spend gold or extra captures to fuse stable copies. Replace it immediately once you craft Shrampz or Bor'lan.
