In Bit Heroes Quest, recruit Common and Rare familiars by spending gold on Persuade attempts, and reserve premium gems strictly for guaranteed bribes on Legendary familiars. For Epic familiars, rely on gold persuasion during standard farming, spending gems on a bribe only if an Epic is the final missing component holding back a critical fusion.

Persuade vs. Bribe Mechanics

When you defeat an enemy in a dungeon or raid, that monster may offer to join your team. You must immediately choose between two recruitment methods:

  • Persuade (Gold): Costs soft in-game currency but carries a chance of failure. If persuasion fails, the monster flees immediately, and the recruitment opportunity is lost. Common and Rare monsters have high base persuasion rates, while Epic and Legendary targets have steep penalties, dropping to roughly 10% for high-tier targets.
  • Bribe (Gems): Costs premium currency but guarantees a 100% capture rate. The gem cost scales directly with monster rarity, with Legendary targets typically costing 1,600 gems.
Monster RarityRecommended ActionCurrency UsedOutcome on Failure

RarePersuadeGoldMonster flees; minimal gold lost

Gem Management: When to Spend and When to Farm

Because gems are heavily restricted, spending them on Common or Rare creatures is inefficient. You will run into duplicate Common and Rare monsters repeatedly while clearing zones and dungeons.

For Epic familiars, continue using gold persuasion as long as you can farm their heroic dungeons normally. Heroic runs grant account experience, gear, and crafting materials alongside capture chances. Only spend gems to bribe an Epic if repeated persuasion failures have completely stalled your account progression on a vital team fusion.

For Legendary familiars, never attempt gold persuasion unless you have no other choice. Encountering a Legendary in a high-tier dungeon or raid is rare. A 10% gold persuasion chance carries a 90% failure risk, which can forfeit dozens of hours of farming. Always maintain a bank of at least 1,600 gems before entering high-tier raids so you can bribe a Legendary familiar the moment it appears.

Increasing Capture Prompt Frequency

Capture bonuses do not increase your persuasion percentage roll when spending gold. Instead, they increase the probability that a defeated monster offers a recruitment prompt at the end of combat. Stacking these bonuses creates more opportunities to persuade or bribe targets.

To maximize prompt rates during farming runs, combine multiple modifiers:

  • Capture Day Events: Save energy and raid refills for server-wide capture bonus days.
  • Guild Perks: Join an active guild that has unlocked passive capture rate increases.
  • Consumable Boosts: Consume capture rate potions or scrolls before running large blocks of dungeon nodes or spending raid badges.
  • Runes and Equipment: Equip minor runes with capture rate perks when your team's combat stats can handle the farming content without offensive or defensive runes.

Stabling Duplicates for Stat Gains

Recruiting extra copies of a familiar is required to scale their combat effectiveness. You can deposit identical duplicate copies of a familiar into its stable up to a cap of +5.

Each stabled duplicate grants two permanent upgrades:

  1. Core Stats: Increases the familiar's Power, Stamina, and Agility by a set percentage.
  2. Passive Triggers: Raises the proc chance for innate abilities such as critical strikes, damage deflection, and life steal.

Because of this scaling, a fully stabled +5 Rare or Epic fusion (such as Shrampz or Bor'lan) frequently outperforms an un-stabled +0 Legendary companion. Before swapping out a +5 familiar for a newly acquired Legendary, ensure the un-stabled unit has the raw stats and survivability to match the stabled unit's bonuses.

Augmenting Familiars

After stabling, refine familiar performance by equipping augments into their three dedicated slots:

  • Brains: Control combat behavior and passive combat triggers. Examples include personal shields generated at turn start, counterattacks upon taking damage, or healing the lowest-health ally on hit.
  • Bones (Skeletons): Grant defensive and secondary combat statistics, such as Damage Reduction or Evade Chance.
  • Chips: Provide offensive and utility statistics, including Speed and Empower Chance.

Match these augments to the familiar's assigned role. Frontline tank familiars benefit most from Damage Reduction bones and defensive shield brains. Support healers require speed chips to act frequently and healing brains to sustain allies. Damage dealers require critical damage augments and empower triggers to eliminate high-threat targets quickly.
