To execute the Chainer, Frosty, and Flamer combo in Botworld Adventure, deploy Chainer slightly ahead in the center to pull scattered enemies together, place Frosty behind him to freeze the cluster in place, and angle Flamer so its channeled cone burns through the entire immobilized group simultaneously.

Deployment Setup and Positioning

Proper placement during the pre-battle phase ensures your squishier bots do not draw early aggro before their abilities activate.

BotPlacementRole and Priority
ChainerCenter-front, ahead of alliesDraws initial aggro and pulls opposing targets into a single tile.
FrostyMidline, 2–3 tiles behind ChainerStays protected from melee cleave while freezing the pulled enemies.
FlamerMidline or flank, angled toward ChainerFires a channeled burn cone through the clustered pack without drawing frontline focus.

Position Chainer forward so enemy melee units lock onto him rather than flanking toward your backline. Angle Flamer toward Chainer rather than placing it directly behind him. An angled cone covers Chainer's front and sides, catching stragglers that land slightly outside the center of the pull.

How the Ability Chain Works

This composition resolves the main drawback of area-of-effect attackers: mobile enemies spreading out across the arena.

  1. The Pull: Chainer activates his hook to drag dispersed snipers, brawlers, and splashers directly to his position. This creates an initial stagger window.
  2. The Freeze: Frosty casts freezing effects into the newly gathered pack. Freezing the targets halts their movement, interrupts or delays their attack animations, and prevents them from fleeing Chainer's tile.
  3. The Burn: Flamer channels a continuous, piercing fire cone into the static cluster. Flamer’s damage ticks continuously across every hitbox in its area, turning standard chip damage into high burst damage when three or more bots occupy the same space.

Locking targets in place also minimizes counterattacks, protects Flamer from being surrounded in melee, and prevents localized enemy shields or healing abilities from keeping up with the stacked burn ticks.

Managing Counters and Adjustments

Certain squad compositions and arena layouts can disrupt the standard setup:

  • Distant Snipers: Snipers positioned at the far edges of large arenas may sit outside Chainer's pull range. If left unchecked, they can pick off Flamer or Frosty. Shift Chainer's starting tile closer to the high-threat backline sniper, or use direct-damage Botpack abilities to neutralize them.
  • High-Mobility Bots: Enemies with dashes, teleports, or cleanse abilities may escape before Frosty's freeze connects, leaving Flamer firing at empty space. If facing high-mobility units, place Frosty closer to Chainer to reduce projectile travel time, or wait until the initial pull resolves before dropping Flamer.

Equip boosters and abilities that protect Chainer during the opening engagement and reinforce crowd control:

  • Starting Energy and Cooldown Reduction: Faster ability activation allows Chainer to initiate the pull before opposing rushers reach your backline.
  • Defensive Shields: Cast shields on Chainer right at the start so he can absorb initial incoming fire from the entire enemy squad while grouping them.
  • Supplemental Crowd Control: Botpack stuns, roots, or knockbacks can catch any stray bot that avoids the initial chain pull.
  • Area and Duration Boosters: Enhancements that extend elemental effect durations or boost area-of-effect damage increase Frosty’s freeze uptime and Flamer’s tick damage.
