Call Me Emperor: How to Switch Consorts to Male Versions

To get male consorts in Call Me Emperor, open your Harem, tap any unlocked consort to view their profile, and select the Reincarnate button. This feature swaps the consort's portrait, title, name, and voice lines to their male counterpart immediately. The change is cosmetic, operates on an individual basis, and preserves all existing companion progress.

How to Switch a Consort to the Male Persona

You do not need a specific VIP rank or monarch level to switch base roster consorts. The feature is available as soon as a consort is unlocked.

1. Enter the Harem: From your main palace screen, tap the Harem pavilion to open your roster of unlocked companions.
2. Open the Consort Profile: Select the specific consort you want to change to open their status screen.
3. Select Reincarnate: Tap the Reincarnate icon located near the portrait and wardrobe options to open the alternate persona preview.
4. Confirm the Change: Review the male artwork and title, then confirm the prompt.

The updated male consort will now appear in your chambers, in dialogue scenes, and throughout your Harem pavilion. Because the system functions on a per-character basis, your palace can host both male and female consorts at the same time.

Progression, Minister Bonds, and Heirs

Activating a male persona does not reset or penalize your court progression:

• Stats and Attributes: Accumulated Intimacy and Charm transfer directly to the male version without any reduction.
• Minister Skills and Power: All minister skill levels, percentage bonuses, and National Power contributions tied to that consort remain intact. The male version buffs the exact same historical ministers.
• Visits and Gifting: You can summon, directly visit, or bestow gifts (such as jewelry and clothes) upon male consorts using your standard Palace Energy to gain Companion EXP.
• Heir Production: Random encounters and visits with male consorts still produce heirs. These children enter the Imperial Academy with base attributes and potential scaling from the consort's current Intimacy rating, just like children from female consorts.

Reversing the Change

Reincarnation is fully reversible at any time. If you want to return to the original female persona, open the male consort's profile, select the Reincarnate option again, and confirm the switch. Swapping back carries no resource cost and will not alter your accumulated Companion EXP, unlocked skill levels, or intimacy ratings.
