To beat Candy Crush Saga Level 1297, clear the thick central blockers during your opening turns to open up the board, then combine special candies to clear the isolated lower corners before your moves run out. Because this board is designated as a Hard Level, making random three-candy matches on the perimeter wastes turns without generating enough space to complete your objectives.
Clear Central Blockers First
Your first priority is breaching the multi-layered blockers filling the middle of the board. Opening this central space restores the flow of candies from the top dispensers and allows gravity to create cascade matches.
- Target direct matches against central obstacles: Spend your first three to five moves making matches directly adjacent to the thickest blockers. Removing these layers expands the playable area required to form four- and five-candy matches.
- Make low matches if the center is blocked: When the starting board offers no direct moves against central obstacles, match candies as low on the board as possible. Lower matches shift more columns, raising the chance that falling candies will clear central blockers automatically.
- Avoid isolated perimeter matches: Do not spend early moves clearing single candies along the outer edges if those moves do not damage central barriers.
Form High-Impact Special Combinations
Single special candies do not have enough reach to clear Level 1297 within the move limit. Instead of detonating special candies individually, move them into adjacent tiles to create combo pairs.
| Combination | Board Effect | Best Use |
|---|---|---|
| Color Bomb + Striped Candy | Converts all candies of that color into striped candies and detonates them | Sweeps massive board area and hits hard-to-reach blockers |
| Wrapped Candy + Striped Candy | Clears a three-row by three-column cross pattern | Penetrates thick obstacle clusters across the center |
| Color Bomb + Wrapped Candy | Clears all candies of one color, then detonates a second color | Resets the board layout and triggers long cascades |
| Wrapped Candy + Wrapped Candy | Triggers two consecutive 5x5 explosions | Destroys tightly grouped, high-durability blockers |
The Color Bomb and Striped Candy combination is the most effective tool on this stage. When you generate a Color Bomb, avoid using it immediately on a standard single color. Work adjacent tiles to slide a Striped Candy next to it so the resulting blast clears multiple rows, columns, and remaining blockers across the entire grid.
Target the Lower Corner Pockets
The bottom corners of Level 1297 are the hardest tiles to clear because candies do not drop through them naturally to create passive matches.
- Align horizontal stripes with bottom rows: Hold horizontal Striped Candies until they drop into the specific rows containing corner blockers or target objectives.
- Drop vertical stripes into outer columns: Line up vertical Striped Candies in the outermost columns to pierce directly down into corner pockets.
- Use board shifts intentionally: If your board layout includes conveyor movement, track the movement path and position special candies where the track will carry them into direct line with corner targets.
- Do not delay corner clearing: Leaving corner tiles for your final five moves usually results in failure. Begin directing line blasts into the corners as soon as the center board is open.
Manage Moves in the Endgame
When fewer than ten moves remain, switch from opening the board to direct objective completion:
- Verify direct impact: Check whether a move directly clears an objective tile before committing. Do not spend moves creating a special candy if you lack the remaining turns to trigger it.
- Choose direct matches over slow setups: If an objective tile is available to clear with a standard three-candy match, take it immediately rather than attempting an unneeded multi-turn combo setup.
- Check the board after every cascade: Automatic drops frequently align spontaneous Striped Candies or Color Bombs. Scan the full board before each move to take advantage of these free setups.

Good guide for Candy Crush Saga players. The early game part was useful.
I wish I had read this before upgrading the wrong thing.
Can you add more details about early game in a future update?
I tried this today and it worked better than my old setup.
