Check the board before each move
Use this order to compare available matches:
- Check the objective. Look for a match that clears a required target, such as jelly, or otherwise contributes to the level goal.
- Look for a special-candy setup. If a four- or five-candy match is available, consider whether it can help with the objective.
- Check nearby blockers. Prioritize one when it prevents a useful match or restricts your options. An isolated blocker that does not affect your goal may be less urgent.
- Consider what will happen next. A match may drop candies into new positions and create another match. Treat that as a possibility, not a guarantee.
If you have several options, favor the move with the clearest connection to the objective. If the board offers no obvious progress, compare how each match changes the board before choosing.
