To beat Level 175 in Candy Crush Saga, you must complete an order requirement: create and combine two adjacent Color Bombs. Winning requires clearing lower blockers to open the board, forming the two special candies, and maneuvering them side by side without triggering either bomb early.

Step 1: Clear Lower Blockers to Open Space

A Color Bomb requires five matching candies in a straight line. Blockers such as meringues and licorice divide the board into narrow lanes that prevent five-in-a-row opportunities.

Direct your opening moves to the bottom and center of the board:

  • Make matches near the bottom: Clearing candies low on the board causes cascades above, breaking blockers without burning extra moves.
  • Open the center lanes: Widening the playfield increases the likelihood of drawing multiple candies of the same color into alignment.
  • Use line blasts for utility: Direct vertical or horizontal Striped Candies into thick clusters of blockers to clear space faster.

Once you have opened a wide central playing area, stop focusing on blockers and watch for candy color alignments.

Step 2: Form and Protect the First Color Bomb

Scan the board after every cascade for potential five-in-a-row formations. Common setups include two matching candies separated by an off-color candy with two more matches inline, or T- and L-shapes that can be shifted into a straight line.

After you create your first Color Bomb, your priority is preservation:

  • Do not swap it with a single color: Swapping a Color Bomb with a regular candy clears that color from the board, but it counts for zero progress toward the order requirement and wastes the bomb.
  • Keep moves away from its column: Make matches in separate columns to avoid accidental vertical drops or cascades that might detonate the bomb prematurely.

Step 3: Align the Second Color Bomb

Creating the second Color Bomb requires deliberate board control. Once the board is mostly open, candies cluster into dominant colors more frequently.

  • Work with dominant colors: Count which color currently appears most often on the board and look for 5-candy setups within that pool.
  • Drop bombs onto the same row: If your two Color Bombs sit in neighboring columns but at different heights, make 3-candy matches directly beneath the higher bomb. Each row cleared drops that bomb down one tile toward the other.
  • Favor horizontal moves: When working near either Color Bomb, use horizontal matches. Vertical matches directly beside a Color Bomb risk triggering unexpected cascade drops that can clear the bomb by mistake.

Key Mistakes That Waste the Level

  • Combining with Striped or Wrapped Candies: Mixing a Color Bomb with a Striped or Wrapped candy clears large sections of the board, but it fails the level order and destroys your progress.
  • Moving too quickly during cascades: Always wait for the board to stop shifting completely. Cascades frequently drop candies into unintentional four-in-a-row positions that an accidental swipe could ruin.

Once the two Color Bombs sit directly adjacent horizontally or vertically, swap them into each other. The combination wipes the entire board, instantly fulfills the order requirement, and finishes Level 175.
