The Goblin Builder charges an upfront gem fee that scales with the upgrade duration. While useful for preventing resource waste during high-loot events, monitor your gem balance closely so you do not drain reserves meant for magic items.
The Builder Apprentice
Unlocked at Town Hall 10, the Builder Apprentice assists ongoing construction rather than occupying an extra building plot. He operates on a daily cooldown, deducting hours from a project currently assigned to an active builder. Because he speeds up existing jobs, he accelerates total build progress while respecting the six-building concurrent limit.
Gem Priorities and Builder Management
Managing construction output requires strict gem allocation and project scheduling.
- Secure the standard Builder Huts first: Never spend gems on resources or instant build finishes until you own all five standard huts. The fifth hut costs 2,000 gems and provides permanent value.
- Buy Builder Potions from the Trader: Once all standard huts are active and B.O.B is unlocked, purchase Builder Potions. One potion accelerates all six builders by 10 hours in a single one-hour window, yielding 54 net bonus hours across your base.
- Stagger upgrade timers: Space builder completion times by 24 to 48 hours. Staggering ensures you regularly free up a builder to dump surplus Gold and Elixir into Wall segments before committing to another long upgrade.
- Rotate Hero upgrades: Avoid putting all Heroes down simultaneously. Keep at least two to three Heroes available so you can participate in Clan Wars and maintain farming efficiency.
