Following balance updates that cut Supercharge resource costs and upgrade timers, start your Supercharge upgrades on your highest-damage core defenses: the Monolith, Ricochet Cannons, and Multi-Archer Towers. Because defensive structures remain fully active and functional while receiving a Supercharge, you can upgrade these buildings without creating defensive downtime in Clan Wars or Legend League.

Defensive Supercharge Upgrade Priority

Supercharges provide incremental stat boosts to fully leveled defenses at maximum Town Hall levels. To get the best return against standard meta attacks like Root Riders and Queen Charges, prioritize defenses that target heavy tanks or multiple units.

First Priority: Monolith and Merged Structures

Begin with the Monolith and merged defenses (Ricochet Cannons and Multi-Archer Towers). These buildings have the highest baseline damage outputs in the village. Boosting their damage per second directly shortens the time required to eliminate opposing Heroes and high-HP tanks, forcing attackers to spend Freeze Spells or invulnerability abilities earlier in an attack.

Second Priority: Scattershots and Multi-Target Infernos

Once your highest-damage core structures are upgraded, Supercharge your Scattershots and Multi-Target Inferno Towers. The extra splash damage from Scattershots helps eliminate support units like Bowlers and Super Archers behind tanks, while boosted Multi-Infernos burn through swarm compositions and mass troop pushes.

Low Priority: Perimeter and Single-Target Chip Defenses

Leave X-Bows, standard Cannons, and perimeter defenses for last. These structures provide lower stat scaling per upgrade and exert less defensive influence against high-tier Clan War strategies.

Managing Builders and Resource Overflows

Supercharges do not replace standard village progression. Allocate builders based on your current base status:

  1. Finish permanent upgrades first: Never delay permanent Town Hall buildings, the Blacksmith, Hero equipment progress, or Army Camps to start a Supercharge. Supercharges are purely an endgame optimization layer.
  2. Stagger your builder cycles: If your permanent upgrades are complete, commit two to three builders to Supercharges while keeping remaining builders available for standard farming cycles. Stagger upgrade start times by 12 to 18 hours so multiple timers do not end simultaneously when your storages are low.
  3. Use Supercharges as resource sinks over walls: While excess Gold and Elixir traditionally went into walls, reduced Supercharge costs and shorter timers offer a direct defensive benefit against bypass strategies like Jump Spells, Siege Blimps, and Root Riders.

Temporary Mechanics and Reset Conditions

Supercharges are designed as temporary bridge upgrades between major base updates. Keep the following constraints in mind before spending resources:

  • No carryover value: When a new Town Hall level or new permanent building levels are added, all applied Supercharges on affected buildings are removed.
  • Resource consumption: Resources and builder time spent on Supercharges are not refunded or converted into discounts for subsequent permanent levels.
  • Timing your investment: If a major Town Hall expansion or defensive update is imminent, restrict Supercharge spending strictly to the central core rather than maxing out low-impact outer defenses.
