To clear Level 1810 in Colony Flow!, connect your edge and corner color pairs along the outer perimeter before routing any lines through the center of the board. Locking down the outer edges early keeps interior tiles open for the complex pathing required to navigate central obstacles.

Step 1: Secure the Outer Perimeter

Begin the level by mapping and connecting color pairs located nearest to the board's borders. Routing these initial paths along the outer walls prevents short connections from blocking central grid access.

  • Target corner pairs first: Connect colors trapped in the far corners, hugging their lines tightly against the outer border.
  • Bundle parallel lines: If two colors need to cross toward the same area, run their paths parallel along the outer edge to conserve interior space.
  • Avoid early central shortcuts: Do not draw direct lines through the middle for easy pairs, as this cuts off paths needed for isolated colors later.

Step 2: Thread Narrow Central Gaps

Level 1810 places static obstacles in the middle of the board, dividing the grid into narrow passageways. Once perimeter paths are secured, route your most constrained interior colors through these gaps.

  1. Locate central bottlenecks: Identify the narrow channels between fixed obstacles and note which colors require access to them.
  2. Prioritize long routes: Thread your longest and most restricted color lines through the central gaps before placing shorter interior paths.
  3. Buffer central blockers: Route lines along the outer edges of central obstacles whenever possible to keep the main gaps open for final adjustments.

Step 3: Fix Path Collisions and Optimize Tiles

If your final color line is blocked, an earlier path occupied grid space intended for late-stage connections. Backtrack to your main junctions and adjust established routes.

  • Shift lines to the edge: If two interior paths collide, extend one line one tile further toward the board perimeter to bypass the conflict zone.
  • Remove loose slack: Look over existing paths for extra loops. Pulling a path one tile tighter to a wall frees up the space needed to complete your last color route.
  • Reset clogged centers: If multiple lines overlap without room to detour, clear the interior connections and re-route the most isolated remaining color first.
