To clear Level 260 in Colony Flow!, route the blue cubes along the leftmost and topmost perimeters of the grid before sending secondary colors through the center. Dedicated perimeter routes keep high-speed blue ant traffic separated from intersecting paths, preventing grid congestion and allowing you to complete the pixel art target efficiently.

Route Perimeter Blue Paths First

Start building your initial ant trail directly from the blue dispenser along the outer top and left edges of the board. Blue routes frequently cross secondary color lines, creating bottlenecks if allowed near the middle of the grid.

  • Use grid corners as buffers: Hug the edges to keep ants moving in a single direction without colliding into other streams.
  • Keep straight perimeter lanes: Reserve the outermost rows for direct, linear paths so blue cubes move without constant rerouting.
  • Prioritize long-distance lines: Connect paths with the longest travel distance early so shorter secondary routes can weave around them later.

Manage Central Congestion and Route Turns

The center tiles of Level 260 act as a high-traffic junction for secondary color lines. To keep worker ants flowing smoothly through the middle section, stagger your timing and limit route complexity.

Pathing StageLocationRouting Strategy
Blue Cube RouteTop & Left EdgesLay first; bypasses central junctions entirely
Secondary Color LinesCentral GridStagger release timing; assign tiles to paths requiring turns
Active OverlapsGrid JunctionsKeep paths under 3 turns; pause to reset locked or stuck chains

To prevent dead ends, limit every color path to a maximum of three turns. Overly complex zig-zags consume valuable tiles needed for remaining streams. If central lanes become overwhelmed or locked in an inefficient pattern, use the pause function to reset the pathing of the most recent color chain.

Clear Pixel Art Collection Zones

Collection zones for the pixel art image are fixed in place. To prevent running out of usable grid tiles during the final stages of the level, plan paths in reverse from destination to source.

  1. Trace backward from targets: Draw lines starting at the destination collection zone and work back toward the matching dispenser to identify the shortest viable path.
  2. Target the furthest zone first: Fully populate and complete the color target located deepest in the grid to clear that area early.
  3. Dismantle completed lanes: Once a collection zone reaches maximum capacity, remove or repurpose its dedicated pathing tiles to open up space for the remaining active colors.
