Conquest of Nine Kingdoms: Crossroad Campaign Guide

To clear the Crossroad campaign mission in Conquest of Nine Kingdoms, protect your high-damage ranged units behind defensive shield tanks while using narrow terrain choke points to kite aggressive enemy melee squads. Keep support units in the center of your formation, conserve offensive abilities for peak enemy density near the central junction, and focus fire on fast or high-damage enemy threats before clearing frontline fodder.

Formation Setup and Terrain Control

Position your shield-bearing units at the front of narrow bottlenecks to funnel incoming enemy forces into single file. Keeping your fragile units, such as archers, positioned directly behind your front line prevents AI melee squads from surrounding your main damage dealers.

• Shield Tanks (Front): Maintain defensive stance to absorb incoming burst damage. Switch to offensive stance only when clearing low-threat remnants.
• Archers / Ranged DPS (Back): Position slightly behind shield units to attack approaching waves without taking direct melee counterattacks.
• Support / Healers (Center): Place support units in the middle of your squad block to ensure their healing aura covers both front-line tanks and back-line archers.

Executing Kiting Maneuvers

Because enemy forces attempt to collapse onto your forward-deployed squads at the central junction, stationary defenses will quickly become overwhelmed.

Target Selection and Cooldown Management

The Crossroad mission pushes you into a numerical disadvantage during its final enemy waves. Sustaining your line requires strict target prioritization and proper skill usage.

Avoid spending high-impact offensive cooldowns on early, weaker enemy groups. Save your major offensive bursts for when enemy density peaks at the center of the crossroad to prevent your front line from breaking under late-stage enemy pressure.
