An evil universe has invaded Earth and established Gotham City as its base for a campaign to conquer the world, leaving you to guide a united force of Super Heroes and Super-Villains in the fight to save the Multiverse. Your role is part commander, part collector, and part base manager. The core loop is built around recruiting champions, upgrading their abilities, assembling a lineup that can withstand opposing forces, and taking that team into battles where strategy determines whether your roster can secure victory. The available cast is extensive, with a roster of 200 characters drawn from DC’s famous heroes, villains, and deeper comic-book history. That gives you room to build around familiar Justice League figures such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, Supergirl, and Superboy, or to form a more villain-focused force featuring The Joker, Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn, and Black Adam. Unlocking their superpowers and upgrading them is central to turning individual recruits into a coordinated team capable of defending Gotham City.

The collection systems provide the long-term structure behind that strategy. Through the card-drawing system, you can draw cards containing resources, rewards, or champion shards. Gathering enough shards allows you to recruit new heroes and villains, expand your roster, and develop a broader selection of lineups for the challenges ahead. Between battles, you can build and customize your Batcave, creating a strategic headquarters with champion training rooms and access to advanced technologies, including alien and magical artifacts. The Batcave is therefore more than a DC-themed backdrop: it is the place where you develop the force that will carry your campaign forward and shape a combat style suited to your priorities. The game also extends beyond Gotham through journeys across recognizable DC locations, including the skyscrapers of Metropolis, the depths of Atlantis, and the relics of Krypton. Along the way, you interact with Super Heroes, Super-Villains, and supporting characters such as Krypto while unlocking additional content tied to the fate of these worlds. Multiplayer PvP battles add a competitive layer, letting you test your chosen team and strategic planning against players from around the world rather than relying only on the campaign’s threats. On a larger PC display, it is easier to compare champion portraits, upgrade information, card rewards, and available roster choices at the same time when deciding where to spend resources or which characters to develop. Keyboard-and-mouse input can also make repeated roster management, Batcave navigation, and selection of PvP teams more direct, while the extra screen space helps you keep your lineup, progression choices, and combat information visible as you plan your next move.
