To prevent enemy players from scoring easy points against your city during an Evony Server War (SvS), you must disable auto-reinforcement, clear vulnerable raw resources, ghost your main troop marches, and verify your defensive general setup before battle begins.

Disable Auto-Reinforcement Settings

Leaving auto-reinforcement enabled allows alliance members to send troops to your city automatically. If incoming reinforcements are unlayered or lack proper defensive gear, enemy scouts can exploit them. When an opponent defeats these units, the points count against your alliance.

  • Turn off auto-reinforce in your city settings before the event starts, especially if you plan to be offline or AFK.
  • Accept reinforcements manually only when you are actively online and can confirm the incoming troop composition aligns with your defense plan.

Clear Unprotected Resources

Resources sitting in your city above your warehouse protection limit can be looted upon a successful enemy attack. Unprotected food, wood, stone, and ore turn your city into a prime target for plunder.

  1. Check warehouse limits: Inspect your warehouse capacity to identify how many raw resources are currently unprotected.
  2. Spend remaining stockpiles: Invest extra resources into city upgrades, research, or troop training before the SvS timer starts.
  3. Store excess assets: If you cannot spend your resources, pack raw materials into alliance warehouse storage if available, or keep resources stored as unopened inventory items.

Ghost Your Main Marches

Leaving high-tier troops idle inside your city leaves them vulnerable to enemy rallies and snipes. Ghosting keeps your primary offensive power off the city map while you are not actively defending or attacking.

  • Initiate long rallies: Send your high-tier marches on 60-minute alliance rallies against distant targets to keep them safely out of your city.
  • Use safe destinations: Direct idle armies to secure locations where enemies cannot attack them directly.
  • Leave minimal defensive layers: Keep only intended low-tier sacrificial layers or defensive units in your city while your main march is ghosted.

Configure Wall Generals and Subordinate Mayors

Your defense relies heavily on active combat buffs and debuffs. Incomplete gear sets or misaligned talents significantly reduce your defensive performance.

  • Wall General: Equip gear specialized for defense and verify that talents are set for PvP combat rather than PvE gathering or monster hunting.
  • Subordinate City Mayors: Confirm that mayors are assigned to all subordinate cities and that their equipment is tailored to debuff incoming enemy troops.

Coordinate Alliance Strategy

Server War requires coordinated defense rather than isolated solo actions.

  • Report activity status: Inform alliance leadership when you will be offline so your city is not expected to serve as a defensive anchor or rally hub.
  • Vary defensive layering: Coordinate with alliance members in chat to mix defensive troop compositions, preventing opponents from using a single counter-strategy against your group.
