To prevent your custom HUD, fire button scale, and camera sensitivities from resetting during game updates or app reinstalls, back up your profile to the cloud using the in-game Settings Sync tool.

Uploading your configuration links your controls directly to your bound game account, allowing you to restore your exact button layout and slider values on any device.

Prerequisites Before Uploading

Cloud backups require an account bound to an external platform. Guest accounts risk losing access to cloud data if local game caches are cleared or during full client reinstalls.

  • Bind your Free Fire account to Google, Facebook, Twitter (X), or VK before syncing.
  • Finalize your preferred control layout and sensitivity values prior to uploading.
  • Note that the cloud backup holds only one saved configuration per account. Uploading overwrites any existing backup immediately.

How to Upload Settings to the Cloud

Use these steps to create a new cloud save from your active settings:

  1. Launch Free Fire to reach the main lobby screen.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top-right corner to open the Settings menu.
  3. Select the Basic tab on the left navigation list.
  4. Scroll down to the Settings Sync section.
  5. Tap Upload.
  6. Select OK when prompted to confirm overwriting your existing cloud save.
  7. Confirm that the "Upload Successful" notice appears on your screen.

How to Download and Restore Settings

If a major patch resets your controls to factory defaults, or if you switch to a new mobile device, restore your saved setup:

  1. Open the Settings menu from the main lobby.
  2. Go to the Basic tab and scroll to the Settings Sync section.
  3. Tap Download.
  4. Confirm the prompt to overwrite your current local device settings with the cloud file.
  5. Enter the Training Grounds to verify that your camera sensitivity and button positions match your preferred layout.

Supported Settings Covered by the Cloud Save

Settings Sync packages several distinct configuration categories into a single profile:

  • Custom HUD Geometry: Preserves button positions, button scales, transparency levels, and toggles such as the left fire button and gloo wall placement.
  • Sensitivity Multipliers: Retains numerical slider values for General view, Red Dot, 2x Scope, 4x Scope, Sniper Scope, and Free Look.
  • Control Behaviors: Saves preferences for Quick Weapon Switch, Quick Reload, and single versus double Grenade Slot layouts.
  • Auto-Pickup: Keeps toggles and speed priorities for weapons, ammunition, medkits, and armor.

Hardware-specific display settings, such as graphics presets (Smooth, Standard, Ultra) and High FPS toggles, do not automatically calibrate to different hardware. When downloading your configuration onto a different phone or tablet, open the Display tab to verify that graphics and frame rate settings match the target device's performance capabilities.
