To beat Level 57 in Gardenscapes, you must harvest 20 flowers before running out of moves by cycling the flowerbeds with adjacent matches and power-ups. Prioritize moves between adjacent beds to hit multiple targets at once, detonate Bombs and Dynamite to clear loose flowers as collateral damage, and save your Rainbow Blast to harvest flowers in bulk.
How Flowerbeds Work
Flowerbeds occupy fixed tiles and produce harvestable flowers through a three-hit cycle. Each bed requires three adjacent matches or explosive blasts to disperse flowers onto the grid.
| State | Visual Stage | Trigger Required | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dormant | Closed foliage | Adjacent match or blast | Advances to Stage 1 |
| Stage 1 | Small buds | Adjacent match or blast | Advances to Stage 2 |
| Stage 2 | Full bloom | Adjacent match or blast | Disperses 4 flowers; resets bed to dormant |
Each completed cycle releases four loose flowers onto random open tiles. Because your objective is 20 flowers, you must trigger at least five full flowerbed cycles throughout the level.
Once dispersed, loose flowers do not count toward your total until you clear them by matching three like flowers, hitting them with an explosion, or clearing them with a Rainbow Blast. Any turn that does not touch a bed or clear a loose flower wastes your limited moves.
Turn Strategy and Matching Priorities
To maintain an efficient cycle, focus your actions on multi-target opportunities and chain reactions rather than single periphery matches:
- Match between two flowerbeds: Look for rows or columns that sit in the gap between two flowerbeds. A single three-piece match positioned between them registers a hit on both beds simultaneously.
- Play from the bottom of the board: When no multi-bed matches are available, match pieces near the bottom of the grid. Lower-board cascades pull pieces down the entire column, frequently causing incidental matches adjacent to the beds without spending extra moves.
- Avoid manual three-piece flower matches: Manually matching scattered flowers one group at a time drains moves rapidly. Leave loose flowers on the board until an explosive blast or Rainbow Blast can collect multiple flowers at once while progressing the beds.
Power-Up Placement and Rainbow Blast Usage
Explosive power-ups provide the area-of-effect coverage needed to hit stationary beds while clearing loose flowers.
- Firecracker (Match 4 in a row): Hits one tile in each cardinal direction. Use it directly adjacent to a flowerbed to force an immediate stage transition.
- Bomb (Match 5 in an L or T shape): Clears a two-tile radius. Position Bombs between flowerbed clusters to advance multiple beds and clear surrounding loose flowers simultaneously.
- Dynamite (Match 6 in an L, T, or row): Clears a three-tile radius. Detonating Dynamite near the center of the board will often trigger every flowerbed in range and clear the board for fresh tile drops.
- Rainbow Blast (Charged via detonations): When charged, check the board before making a swap. If several scattered flowers are on the grid, swap the Rainbow Blast directly with a flower to harvest all of them in a single move. If the board has few flowers, swap it with the most abundant regular fruit surrounding the flowerbeds to trigger cascading hits.
