About the Official Gear Plants: Merge Defense PC Client
Developer: CSCMobi Studios
Each battle begins with your Gear arrangement. Merge matching Gears to raise their power and create a stronger formation; numbered Gears help speed up Plant production, so placement and the combinations you pursue shape how your defense develops. You’ll need to experiment with arrangements and adapt as tougher enemies appear, rather than relying on a single setup for every wave. Once your Plants are on the field, they attack automatically, making preparation the core of play: decide how to build your Gears, summon a suitable team, then see whether that plan can protect the base.
Plant selection gives you several ways to answer different threats. Single-target Plants focus damage on individual enemies, while multi-target attacks help handle groups. Other choices can slow zombies and control their advance, and the collection also includes Lightning Plants with electric attacks and Fire Plants with fiery damage. Plants come in Normal, Rare, and Epic rarities, giving you a roster to expand as you progress. Summons can provide new Plants as well as duplicates; duplicates are used to level up your collection, while Seeds increase a Plant’s Stars. These upgrades strengthen your team for harder Levels and broaden your options when assembling a lineup, linking collection and progression directly to the defense strategy you bring into later challenges.
The PC version’s larger display is useful for taking in the battlefield at once: you can follow zombies advancing from portals, watch your Plants engage, and judge how well your formation is handling a wave without losing sight of the base you’re protecting. Keyboard-and-mouse input also suits the repeated preparation work of arranging and merging Gears, summoning Plants, and adjusting your setup between challenges. A mouse makes it easier to inspect and organize the pieces of a formation, while keyboard input can make recurring menu and setup actions comfortable to handle. Together, the larger screen and PC controls support the game’s central rhythm: prepare, merge, defend, and refine your approach as each Chapter brings more demanding enemies. The strategic question is not only how strong your Gears and Plants are, but whether their combination can manage the particular mix of individual targets, groups, and advancing threats in front of you.
